Sony DOES NOT fund their games anyway. They only publish the titles... Insomniac is an independent studio.
I don't think they will be going multiplatform anytime soon, but I wouldn't be surprised... You all have not bought their last two games on Sony's platform (they had poor sales)... and they have families to feed, they need to sell games.
Personally, I've bought all four of their games this gen and I look forward to whatever they produce next... multiplatform o...
This game looks phenomenal! I can't wait... it's definitely the freshest concept I've seen this gen. As a gamer that only enjoys games with good stories... this seems like a match made in heaven!
It will start off expensive but will come down in price very quickly as it is adopted by the mainstream. I already have a 3D set, so you better believe that I will be purchasing 3D content as often as I can! So will others that have spent money for the tech...
I just saw Avatar this weekend... and after seeing that, I want EVERYTHING to be in 3D. It was unbelievable... and ppl will pay for unbelievable ;-)
This is a shame actually... Insomniac has put out two of THE best platform titles this generation and no one is buying them!!! I own both of course... So Sony fans can only blame themselves when they lose another of Sony's top devs when it comes to exclusives. Oh well... I'd rather see them make money than starve for staying loyal.
It is OBVIOUSLY a Zelda rip off!!! But if it's a PSN game... they have my money! Looks cool.
The graphics are great for an rpg... definitely the best this gen. But no, the graphics don't hold up to games like MGS4, KZ2, or Uncharted. But hell, there aren't many other games that do either. And rpg's never have gfx that hold up to the current gfx kingz during gameplay... the cutscenes are beautiful as ever though.
And the gameplay still looks better than the gfx of Lost Odyssey or Star Ocean. Better than the gfx of any of the Western rpg's for that matter... looks better ...
Uncharted 2 was always a must buy... since the very first trailer was shown. After the gameplay clip this past E3, it was a wrap... it was instantly the most important game I'd play this year.
But these reviews are overwhelmingly positive!!! And everything I hear about it in podcasts regarding it are the same... I wonder just how big of a hit Sony has on their hands with this one?!
It sounds like an awesome bundle for a lot of us b/c we know just how awesome the Uncharted franchise is... but for most ppl looking to buy a PS3, they'll have absolutely no idea why they should be interested in this bundle besides the fact that it has a 250GB hard drive.... BUT they will be satisfied as hell if they take the chance to buy it anyway, lol.
Still... I think a MW2 bundle might have made more sense from a brand recognition point of view. Maybe even a Rachet & Cl...
I'm not so sure about that.... The game looks great, and I'll probably get it. But there was nothing in that video that makes it stand out. I do love the map & the graphical upgrade... but aside from that... pretty much looks like COD4.
In fact, Killzone 2 still has multiplayer of the year so far! But as long as MW2 has COD4 combat with a new variety of maps... it'll still be worth owning & playing. It's destined to be the most played shooter this holiday either way!
The demo was pretty easy... BUT even more importantly, it was FUN! I'm picking it up instead of Madden this month... I'll have to get Madden in Nov or Dec.
The story definitely seems like it's going to be interesting. And the little snippet they showed don't even show off all of the gadgets and stuff he will get. Just from the little I've played, it's already the best Batman game to come out... period.
Actually you're badly mistaken regarding the numbers of the First Uncharted. It had actually sold 1M units already in just less than 2 months...
So Uncharted sold VERY well far before they started selling any bundles. At least check your facts before posting flame bait.
And some of those 'hands on' impressions of Natal admitted that the experience was a lot more scripted than the E3 presentation led us to believe. If you listen to any of the podcasts for ign, 1up, etc... they will also admit that at this stage, it has some buggy issues and they could not see it being used with all games (quite a few ppl were put off by the Burnout Natal experience).
At any rate, the point is that Natal is not doing anything all that new. It is merely an update ...
Wow, inFamous is not going to do that well in sales. That's a real shame too... b/c it actually one of the best games on any system right now!
I don't own a Wii... but of the PS3 & 360, it's in my top 5 games of this gen. (so I'm definitely not trying to bash)... But with first week sales that low, it's going to be hard for it to even break 1 million copies globally (b/c I doubt it did any better in Europe... most EU outlets rated the game lower). But hopefully they at least...
Lol @ Microsoft doesn't like black ppl confirmed!
Agreed. That does NOT sound like a fun way to play Burnout.... and that's where Natal fails.
This is great marketing for Microsoft... and that's the one area they've really done well in this gen.... But I still have absolutely no interest in playing games with no controller...
However, this will attract the casuals... It'll be interesting to see if they can use the technology to appeal to the hardcore as well.
Can this be for real??? Sony is crushin the competition when it comes to the games already?! If they have another exclusive for tomorrow, I'm going to be one happy gamer!!! Either way, they've already given me enough to be excited about. Their gameplay of GOWIII already crushes EVERYTHING, lol.
now that is really cool! wish I lived in the L.A. area for stuff like this...
I think the slide design is slick as hell... not really feeling the controller portion of it though, looks kind of plain.
The guys at Sega are idiots when it comes to picking out release dates. They did the same thing to sabotage Yakuza 2, which was an excellent game.
And to the idiot that claimed Sega just wants to make money, that is exactly why they should NOT be releasing the game in March... The game is going to sell FAR LESS in March than it would in April or May. Most PS3 gamers are not going to pick up Yakuza 3 over FF XIII or GOWIII, period. And for a significant number of gamers, they can ...
