Honestly, I have no problem paying $30 for a PS3 game that I will not be able to pay otherwise.
I'd be more likely to rent for 30 days than 90 days anyway. I'd rather pay a monthly fee though.
The game looks freaking incredible... I love the cinematic gameplay! I can't wait to play it.
Number one, DirectX 12 won't even be available to developers until 2015... We won't be seeing anything anytime soon.
Number two, Xbox One already asked developers to code pretty close to the chip... So all of the benefits if directx on PC will not translate to Xbox b/c they are already being incorporated. There may be some boost, but it likely won't be that significant.
Kill zone is a real term. Kill strain doesn't sound that bad to me either though... Depends on what the game is about.
Personally, I thought infamous would outsell Titanfall... But this also doesn't include people like me that bought the digital version.
Not really that strong of a comeback yet... even if it continued to outsell the PS4 by 20k a week for the next month... that would hardly put a dent in the gap they have.
The bigger issue is that they are not likely to continue outselling the PS4 much, if at all since we already heard reports that the PS4 boost for inFamous was larger than the Xbox's.
A difference of 20k is hardly an ass whooping :-/... especially if it doesn't last.
Assuming that both companies are selling every unit produced (which we know for sure Sony is, not clear whether Microsoft is)... the number of countries is irrelevant. ECON 101.
I think it's enough to consider Titanfall a system seller... unfortunately, it still didn't sell enough systems.
This doesn't even begin to put a dent in the lead the PS4 has... especially if that surge in sales does not continue for the past two weeks!
I'm a real MGS fan... I just went ahead and bought it yesterday on PS4. The PS4 is definitely the better way to enjoy it.
As for inFamous... pre-ordered digitally back in Jan.
Most reviews were transparent about the negative aspects of this game as well. It is a fun game, but there are some legitimate gripes that they will hopefully get sorted out for the sequel.
It's nothing like Killzone or BF4. But if you enjoyed the Batman games or Uncharted, then you'd love inFamous.
MGS Ground Zeroes is available on PSN today... been playing it for about 5 hours.
(Unless the release date for Europe was different).
@Death,
It is selling a smaller number in the U.S... but it is also being sold in more territories as of February.
It is a fact that several retailers ran out of stock on more than one occasion in Feb. This is at least partially due to the fact that at least 400k that would have been distributed globally was allocated to Japan this month... Not that difficult to understand.
@darthv72...
Your math is just a little off... Remember that the top selling PS4's at Gamestop over the last month were bundles starting at $479 w/ inFamous (and $549 for the Call of Duty bundle).
What makes these numbers even more intriguing is that the xbox received a boost from the Titanfall bundle and still didn't manage to beat the PS4!
EDIT: Actually all of those sells would have been pre-orders, and I'm not sure their impa...
I noticed the same thing this morning! It's worth pointing out that the xbox bundle is beating the PS4 on Amazon's site though... Although I think this is more likely to do with the lack of PS4's on Amazon. PS4's were beating xbox's on both sites just last week.
Actually, it would include digital sells. This was in regards to the companies fiscal results. They don't separate the money they make on a game through retail from the money they make on digital sells. Investors don't care where the game was sold.
That said, the number is actually kind of low to me considering that the game is out on both pc and xbox weeks before their Q4 ends... I would have expected 6M on the 360 alone. Then again, their numbers could also be low. ...
Yea, I almost didn't click on this article... but I'm so thirsty for anything inFamous right now, I couldn't help it.
I hope those of us with the digital pre-order are able to start playing at 12:01 on the 21st w/ no hitches!
Not at all. This game will probably sell more. I'm buying both. But at the moment I'm looking forward to second soon more than ground zeroes.
Lol. I started to watch the video until I saw he was starting the game from the beginning. I want to experience all of that for the first time myself.
Clearly, it's not just Sony fans buying the PS4 since it's STILL outselling the XBOX in the U.S... which was xbox territory last gen.
More importantly, the PS4 has had much greater performance so far. Games look and play better on the PS4. For many, that's enough. There aren't any compelling exclusives on the Xbox, so might as well play on the system that is best for multiplats if nothing else.
On top of that, the PS4 has the more compelling ...
