Valve did not like working on the PS3. Don't blame them either. At least they didn't do the whole thing because it may have turned out worst.

I think it was kinda dumb to do that. Let players enjoy the graphics?!?! Graphics don't make a game good, The gameplay is. And AI is a VERY important part of that. Why numb down something so important?
Now... it is good if it is true... because the AI looked terrible in the demo.
They could have done others things to make it easier yet still have a great AI. Like making you have more health or whatever.
Bungie had a lot more than just a trailer. They had a podcast and a video to go along with the unveiling of the game.
Bungie was highly disappointed to not be able to show what they had put so much work into. They even had an ARG going on, on the Bungie website to get people ready for it.
So go along and believe that there was no video... but that would just be idiotic.

it's not that the ps3 cant handle it because it obviously can but that it is harder for developers to adjust to the ps3... it is different than developing for the PC and 360
