think of it more as a console that features current and previous handheld games, made for those with no desire to play on a handheld.
also roll in gaikai and you have a PS2-3 library without ris of YLOD or spending what some would see as a lot.

This is one of those few instance where I can relate to both sides (sans useless update comments).
I have a hacked psp and two legit Vitas. I have no intention of hacking the vita nor do I want to see it vulnerable in any way whatsoever.
there are no homebrew utilities for the vita that aren't available and better on the psp. not talking iso or emulation either.

the psp was running ISO in its first month.
they have yet to crack the vita portion of the system.
all they tinker wit is the psp emulator.
the vita is nowhere near the demise that the psp suffered.
also the vita needs devs to lose devs.
Not only that, Hackers made PSone games possible on the PSP even before sony could. Hackers do help to a degree and show companies what people really want out of the hardware provided.... not talking piracy either.
Examples: IR Shell, POPSTATION, PMP streamer, PSP GPS functionality support, and most of all LANGUAGE PACKS

you will notice it will take other regions a while to catch up and then the older top slots keep playing and furthering the gap. if top 5 are UK (alltime) US will not get a chance to be top and visa versa.
but I am good with the weekly leaderboards

I think almost every Vita owner knows what PSO is... it has been out since Dreamcast.....
also the rear pad on the Vita allows use for R3 and L3.
as for not knowing why... think about it.. on that scale we would have to send in our Vitas for repairs for failing joysticks... something that small is sure to break when you add "clicking"
