The corrupt save data bug is a huge annoyance, but you can retrieve your save data from PS+ cloud storage if you didn't start another game already.

I had gotten to the last chapter, and game crashed, save corrupted; went to Settings> Applicaton/Data Management> copy cloud storage to local storage, copy over your BF4 game save. Enjoy.

This guy does nothing for me...

I'm not trying to bash any systems, just telling it how it is. Developers limit where they need to for a game to run how they intend it to.

My first post had nothing to do with BF4, but a generalization of how graphics processing tends to be effected by draw distances. Responding to someone that seemed to think "visibility" only ever means lighting was my goal in addressing. seems I am in the minority this time around.

In North Carolina at least, Target had 0 PS4's this Black Friday.

I can't say about the rest of the US, but I know Walmart had a bit of stock, but quickly ran out. Gamestop seemed to be the only ones that overstocked a bit on both systems, as even at 3AM, people were bringing in PS4's and XboxOnes.

Voiding warranties. Hope MS comes out what allowing external drives or something.

I should have put a star* on fog, as its not always a fog, but you can see what I'm talking about it other games. It could be like skyrim, where far away objects like trees are just green cones, and as you get closer, they get more and more detail. Same with textures. I wasn't talking about just BF4, so I guess I should clarify that as well, this isn't new, but I seriously doubt it ruins the game for anyone.

Visibility is a blanket term. It refers to being able to see things, be it close, or far.
It could mean jaggies stopping you from viewing details in an image, or not being able to load part of the map because it would cause strain on the system, so a fog is put in place where the visual objects can not be loaded in.
Most games do this to a certain extent, but with varying methods, and effects.

The jaggies are a bigger issue, as the things you CAN see tend to ...

For both PS4 and XboxOne, I strongly suggest not changing your hard drive, until at least February of next year. By then, higher density hard drive should be cheaper, and Available.

For reference, I just ordered these to try on my PS4. Hope they work well.

Very nice headset, hows the noise cancellation on those?

3860d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's news because existing bluetooth headsets are not compatible, so people with 200$ headsets they got for PS3 or Xbox360 are now left with fewer options(for now).
Some of the options available are not exposed readily by ether company, so knowing this is a big plus for at least PS4 owners.
It is still to be seen what XboxOne users can look forward to.

I really wish they would never have sold spyro off. His legacy is forever tarnished after Enter the Dragonfly.

How did this get approved? I have a PS4, but I won't be touting anything until we see some real 9/10 and 10/10 games out there.

I have a PS4, and a friend of mine has an Xbox One. I can safely say that both are not working as us gamers intend them to be used.
Waiting on some updates to firmware to fix bugs, and add speed, functionality to the respective systems is important for users to be happy.
Waiting is the best option at this point, let us early adopters be the guinea pigs so you don't have to.

It does have play as you download, but it needs a pretty big chunk of the game to start playing. From my friends play thru's with it, you can start to install around the 4-11% mark, depending on the game size.
Problem is that at that point, trying to play the game will just leave you with a loading game screen saying "Downloading Game Data, Please Wait", so when you finally get to play, if you go to far to quickly, you can be seeing the "Downloading Game Data" ...

Xbox, go home.
Xbox, go home...
Xbox, go home......
You don't normally have a mic on your face when sitting at home, so I'm going to try this one more time.
Xbox, go ho- *boom* HEADSHOT

DISCOVERY CHANNEL NOW PLAYS FOOTBALL, WUT?!

J/K, but really, I've seen much better presentations from MS than this.

It is important to note, that although BF4 has a bunch of network/game crashing issues, the PS4 has never crashed in all my playing. The game simply asks if you wish to send a report to Sony/EA, similar to PC gaming, but a little more stable in my opinion.
