Believe it. This game is fantastic. They just need to sort these crashes out.
And well deserved. Get those hyperdrives upgraded to visit the better class of planet.
It's a pity sites like this give reviewers like this the limelight they don't deserve. They've basically reviewed a different experience, going against everything that both Hello Games, Sony and other more reputable sites are thankfully adhering to. I'm looking forward to the legitimate reviews.
This is a huge update and clearly shows why Hello Games and Sony didn't want it to be reviewed prior to the update. the future update with temporal AA, base building and owning freighters should please a few people too
If there's a game that doesn't need articles or reviews it's No Man's Sky. In the real world people are losing their minds watching the streams and preordering the game immediately.
Then stay away from planets like that. And even if you don't, this video only showed you the worse case scenario. Play the game how you want to play it. That's the point of No Man's Sky.
xander70769 is correct.
The first thing the game does is generate the seed for the entire universe. Then from that it generates the seed for a galaxy. Then it generates the seed for the solar system. Everything is generated from a top down approach so taking that solar system seed you finally generate the seed for individual planets. If the sun is close to the planet then the temperature of the planet is used to generate the flora and what type of flora determines the seed ...
@hirobrotagonist
More or less right but it's not hosted on servers. Everything that generates the game is in that 6gb which is why you don't need an internet connection to play the game.
Come on Dualshockers, shorten those headlines:
Sony Aims To Connect 'At A Very Deep Level'
And what limit would that be?
So anything with great graphics, great acting and third person is now going to be TLOU-ification? It's a compliment I suppose but an absolutely ridiculous thing to say. It's called 3rd person perspective just in case you didn't realise. It's been around for years and years. The TLOU-ificatation of Gears of War looked great in my opinion.
That's really odd because I've been reading stacks of positive responses with many people saying they're now interested in PSVR. Perhaps some people have their filter set to 'narrow'.
Removal of the bubble system has had an interesting affect.
@Benchm4rk
So MS made people aware of the Scorpio a YEAR before just in case they wanted to hold off on buying the slim? It's a pity they didn't do the same for people who were buying the XB1 WEEKS before the slim was announced.
Trust me, those are the figures. GAF has them too now, so you check them there if you want.
If anyone is interested, here are the hardware figures:
PS4: PS4: 207.3k (+35.8% YoY)
XBO: 107.1k (-23.3% YoY)
Wii U: 25.3k (-40.7% YoY)

Whatever you make stoned will be the best thing you've ever made ... until you're straight again.
Why would Sony be concerned? It would only concern Sony if they were constantly playing catch up but the Neo releases nearly a year earlier so it's MS that are playing catch up. They'll always be a year behind from that point on.
I can't get my head around this. PSVR is for the PS4. Did the author expect the Slim to be incompatible with PSVR? It's not a 'rumour', ALL PS4s are compatible with PSVR.
