I agree Silent Bob, but the sticker on the front will still say Used Game.
Not saying that I condone this behavior, or that I even shop there (I don't), but if the consumer buys an item that has a tag that says used all over it, I have to put the onus of responsibility on the consumer.
Why is it illegal? Used book stores do this all the time.
Is it moral? That's a different question...
I think Gamestops justification is used book stores, of whom a lot of them will mixed used and new books together, and only distinguish by genre.
Of course, their true intentions are to send a shot back at the publishers after all thay have bee doing to tear down used sales.
Unfortunately, this can no way end well for the gamers. Totally agree with you, by the way, it is a misrepresentating to the consumer.
I think it will be a very interesting holiday season sales wise for consoles. At this point in their respective life cycles, all consoles have a a good amount of public exposure to the point where shoppers are savvy enough to consider all of them.
The wii has price going for it, and perhaps the family friendly experience. You can't really claim that motion controls for it are a deciding factor - Kinect has gotten enough marketing and exposure to the point where the wi...
More than Sony did?
I kid, I kid.
Turn off the autosave features. Worked wonders for me.
Totally agree with Nitro. I think that the reported glitches out there have been blown way out of proportion. There are easy things that can be done to remedy most of the problems peeps face on the PS3 version. In fact, I just turned off all autosaves, and almost all my problems have vanished.
Hicken, it is true that Mario and Zelda are older, but I don't see how that relates to the point.
The point that jet was trying to make was that the series have not changed, when in actuality they have changed a lot. The original Mario was a side scrolling platformer, and over the years has evolved in these ways - introduced new abilities, the advent of mario suits, became a 3D platformer, added the use of specialized tools (Sunshine), and finally adding gravity and ph...
Jet, you can say the same thing for a lot of games on a lot of different platforms.
God of War hasn't really changed at all from the first game - the game mechanics are almost exactly the same, Kratos is simply killing new baddies.
I can go on with a lot of flagship titles - Halo, Gears, Gran Turismo, Uncharted - Master Chief shoots baddies, Gears ducks and covers and chainsaws people, Turismo you drive a car, Drake has third person shooting with a li...
I am not sure why Nitrowolf is getting disagrees, as he is correct.
I have played Darksiders, and the formula for that game is basically the Zelda formula - overworld where you move from dungeon to dungeon, in each acquiring a new tool or weapon that you not only use to beat the corresponding boss, but also allows you to open up new routes in the overworld. The major difference being that combat in Darksiders is more like GOW, but the structure of the game is distinctively...
Love people saying it shouldn't be on the 360 because it would be holding the PS3 back.
What if this is planned for next gen systems, and it happens to be that the new xbox is more powerful than the PS4 (not saying it will be, but just a what if scenerio). Would you change you song then and say the game should only go to the xbox so that its not held back by the PS4?
Have you even played the latest Mario or Zelda games?
Anyone having a controller freeze issue playing on PS3. Every once in awhile the the game doesn't seem to recognize my input and keeps moving me in the last direction before the problem. I don't think it is the controller (sony brand). Hasn't caused any major problems so not that big a deal.
Thats funny eak, because just today I had a weirdly lucky dragon encounter. I was exploring some of the forests outside of Winterhold, when a dragon pounced on me. I was caught off guard, and thought that the dragon would wipe me, but just as I started to flee, the dragon got tangled up fighting a giant, which bonked the dragon good. Easiest dragon fight ever, didn't have to lift a finger.
Interesting. So let me give you a scenerio - say the reviewer did complain about no voice acting, and gave the game an 8.5, or 9.0. Would you then deem the review fair? Keep in mind, you have yet to play the game, so you don't know if the lack of voice acting is a detriment to the overall presentation.
Or how about this scenerio - the game was made with voice acting in it, but the reviewer gave the game an 8.5 because the addition of the voice acting took away from t...
Very glowing review. I am definitely getting this.
Although, to be honest, I get very little usable feedback from a review like this. The reviewer gave a pretty sparkling review for all aspets of this game, but I find it hard to believe that there weren't some faults or gripes.
This goes for any game really - I recently played both Uncharted 3 and Batman AC, and I loved both those games, but that isn't to say there weren't some minor annoya...
As a side note, I was curious to see what this site perceived to be a "superior" game; that is, what games scored higher than an 8/10. Over the last 6 months, the games that received a 9/10 are:
Radiant Silvergun (XBL)
Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)
Shogun: Total War 2 (PC)
Pokemon White (DS)
Pokemon Black (DS)
Of these games, I only have played Radiant Silvergun (don't own a portable and don't game on my P...
Interesting review, they obviously liked the game but had a couple gripes.
Whenever I read reviews from smaller websites, I always try to give them perspective by comparing there review with reviews they have done with other games that I know that I like. In this case, I was curious to see what their reviews of Batman: AC and Uncharted 3 were (both games I played recently and thoroughly enjoyed). It appears that both of these games also scored 8/10, and both had similar r...
I am really glad that you can add something meaningful to this discussion board.
I just hope that Sony tries something new and different with this game. Not saying a simple mash up fighter or crossover fighter is bad, but we have seen enough of these types of games with smash bros. and [insert franchise] vs. [insert franchise].
Sony has a golden oppurtunity to try something different within the fighter genre - to put their stamp on it if you will. We know they have the talent, it's only a matter of taking a risk.
