I thought this might happen if the rumors are true. The irony would be that employees at Gamestop are always pushing Xbox games. I remember when I went to buy KZ2 and the guy kept trying to sell me Halo instead.

I also sold my Vita to put toward my Wii U and I don't regret it. not that I didn't like the Vita, I just never used it. I can play games on the GamePad, have a fully functional browser and I use it everyday.
The 360 was $400 in 2005. I may be wrong but I thought it was comparable or even stronger than a High-end PC.
Isn't $400 the average price of a new console? 360 was $400, Was that underpowered? How much was the PS2 when it launched? I don't understand the argument that the next gen consoles have to be 500-600 to be "boss!"

Not really... You just need to be a wise shopper. I bought my computer for 650. Amd 1090t, 8gb ram, gtx 465... then a year later got a gtx 670. I love consoles and pc's but you can get a decent computer for a reasonable price.
Only support for up to a 3 TB HD!?!....What a fail of a console!...

@ado- Doesn't the Wii U display on the tv and the pad? almost sounds like an adaptation of eyefinity. Thing is until Ninty/developers gives us specifics, speculating is pointless.
You can probably still put it on preorder/layaway. My friend just do that the other day at my local Wal-Mart.

I thought the IGN review was a tad humorous. One of the cons they stated was that it had a steep learning curve in the strategic game.....hmmm.... Isn't that the point of a strategy game? :)
