New used games are only about $5-$10 cheaper than brand new if you go to GameStop.
Two year old game should not be $40 used.
There's much better ways to save money than not buying new games or trading them in for $5.
If GameSpot prices were competitive I can see that as an issue.

Sony hired an outside firm to deal with this case, all it was used for was to determine where the case was going to be held.
