I can see the problem with you upgrading to the PS4 which leaves all of your friends behind.
That is something I want to avoid, too.
This is something that adds to the equation because we all have to decide which version of a game to buy even if the game is on the same brand-- (Microsoft Xbox 360 / Xbox One or Sony PS3 / PS4).
I'm an early adopter when it comes to video games but I really like playing games with my son who lives out of st...
Bubble for making me smile!
I started out with the old white Xbox 360-- never had a problem with it except the disc tray stopped opening unless I smacked it.
I then bought PS3 "fatty". Out of all my friends, I was the only one except for my grown up son who lives in Michigan.
Online play was virtually zero during that period of my gaming life.
I then got an Xbox 360 "slim" model and enjoyed playing with all my friends on that machine. In fact, my other two s...
I'm still not digging the old school PS3 even after all these years-- but even so, it's still better than that rather "plain" looking thing that Microsoft is passing off as a cutting edge "next-generation" console.
Bubble up-- well said!!!
Give me a break-- the only thing Microsoft is "destroying" is their fanbase!
Listening now-- having a good time with it-- thanks for the upload!
I'm feeling kind of lazy tonight-- was hoping someone else would've already posted, "God, you're stupid!", so I could just click the "agree" button & then go to bed.
Since nobody else already did this, I figure I'll save everyone else a little time & post it myself.
To make it clear, I think the author of this article is stupid & not God himself.
Good advice is good advice-- regardless from who it comes from.
Video gamers everywhere can see that Nintendo is in trouble and is out of touch with them and journalists of video game magazine journalists / bloggers are simply reporting this.
Both groups of people have a vested interest in this because they want their hobby & livelyhood to remain alive and well.
It would be foolish for Nintendo to simply dismiss their ideas because those ...
Wouldn't it be awesome to see these classics remade instead of just being rehashed over and over, instead?
Nintendo seems to be cashing in on these franchises with minimal effort instead of making them "fresh" and "new" again.
Don't get me wrong, this is great news for Nintendo fans-- I just wish these guys could release something that I can't already play on my android phone or PC, that's all.
I believe th...
Exactly.
When I saw the title of this article, I just asked myself, "Huh?".
I wasn't aware that there was a problem with console gaming.
It also never occurred to me that console gaming needed to be "saved".
I sure am glad this fellow took time out of his busy life to "clue us in"-- not!
As a gamer that has played games over several decades, I can tell you without a doubt-- CONSOLE GAMING IS VERY MUCH...
The only way I see the Wii U being successful is somehow making the machine able to play 3DS games-- if that were the case, those things would be "flying off the shelves".
With that second screen on the controller, I wouldn't say that this would be completely "impossible"-- hmmmm...
Things are not looking up for the Nintendo Wii U.
I sold my Wii U within 2 weeks of owning it because I got bored with it & still enjoy my 3DS almost daily-- something has to "give" so that the Wii U can have a successful future.
Unfortunately, I just don't know what that "thing" is.
I'm not really sure if the Wii U can survive this generation much longer, if news like this continues.
Been playing games for decades-- this is a good article-- I liked it!
I just bought my 3ds XL a couple of weeks ago-- I'm currently playing though Fire Emblem Awakening & loving every minute of it, too.
I got "hooked" while trying it out at Best Buy a month ago & the 3D imagery immediately reminded of the time I was a young boy & my grandma gave me a View-Master back in the 70's.
I am as easily memorized by what I see on the 3ds Xl's screen as I was back then.
Now, I'm spen...
It's up to the parents to make sure they lock the 3D down for kids.
I always make sure it's turned off before I let any little ones watch what is happening on the screen.
I just bought my shiny new blue 3ds XL-- I was holding out for an all black one here in the US-- but broke down 2 weeks ago once I played it at Best Buy.
I have several games for it and really do like the 3D effect while playing games.
If anyone is on the fence about buying the 3ds XL-- I say "buy it"-- I hardly ever turn on my Xbox 360 anymore.
It's really a great gaming system-- and yes, I've owned the WiiU & the Vita ...

I liked the title of this article / opinion piece-- It got my attention enough to click the link & then check it out.
It was rather clever and unexpected-- this is what motivated me to read
