That's why HL2 and Doom 3 released on PC first in 2004.
It's way better than something like smash bros which gets very repetitive fast
Surprised they haven't done Starfox yet. Would be neat to play it with the 3DS graphics in place, and a difficulty edit.
The goldfish thing is a myth, no idea why people keep using that saying.
Yup, I mean Half Life 2 and Doom 3 released much later on consoles, and HL2 had performance issues even on the 360 from what I've read.
Both good games but I'd choose HL2 any day, gave us great physics and Gmod. Speaking of which I'm grateful for HL Alyx releasing cuz now we're getting the amazing looking S&box on Source 2.
The obvious way for Nintendo to get a lot more power would be to have the dock double up as a large heatsink, so with next gen chips the next Switch could literally dock to the heatsink with fan, large power boost right there. Obviously there'd need to be a hole with the heat pipe visible underneath to connect up.
I want Killing Floor 3 on UE5, but knowing TW they'll probably go UE4.
I've seen impressive tech demos using UE4 too but I don't think I've seen any actual games like them.
@Profchaos buy cheap buy twice, though obviously consoles have to compromise as well , they'll have lower details and frames than a good PC.
Rather keep up with PC every 2-3 years than phones every year.
Consoles do have better optimisation but not hugely so, you buy an upper high end card and it will easily beat a console. The cards later next year will also blow them out the water completely in performance.
Team already working on a multiplayer mod too like the original.
Reasons to go PC would be if you want higher frames, run software that consoles can't, use keyboard and mouse etc.
60 isn't bad but once you go even higher like around 120 and get used to it (especially for shooter games) when you hit like 60-70fps it actually looks kinda sluggish!
PC for me but i appreciate what consoles do for the money.
I enjoyed many of the games i had on Dreamcast, the one that sucked most was Worms Arrmageddon, I was used to playing Worms 2 on PC with online play. WA on DC was offline only and playing with a controller sucked, not only that but waiting up to almost a minute just for the CPU to take each turn.. worst version of Worms i ever played.
Swat Kats would be a great fit for such a game, underrated show.
Yea, anime games are either for little kids like Pokemon, or for adults which are basically porn games. Little/no inbetween.
Guess they'll enhance the graphics. They also probably know nothing is coming from R* for a while, so it gives them plenty of time to polish it up with no competition.
If it wasn't for modders we wouldn't have got the great online multiplayer mode for the original SA.
I never got into Halo even when it first came out, were more fun online FPS games on PC even then. Prefer those rather than playing this tbh, overhyped series.
Meh, never understood the raving this game gets, tried it on Xbox, had much more fun multiplayer FPS on PC around the same time and even before this.
I had it bundled with my original Xbox along with Halo, I found MGS2 much more enjoyable. I already had my fill of FPS games that were better controlled on PC.
@snakeeater nice troll bro, Doom 3 was ok but HL2 was amazing back then. We also got Garry's mod. And soon getting S&box running on Source 2, which consoles won't get.
The fact that the physics even in the original Source engine are still better than many games today speaks volumes.
Can't wait for S&box and all the game modes to come.
