I'd rather that Redguard be DLC because that would bring it to market sooner. (Feb 2013 sounds about right, too.)

Dishonored needs branching dialog trees and outcomes.
You can run around totally non-lethal and you get the same treatment as if you'd killed everybody in sight. (Except for the final mission and a couple of Emily's drawings/comments.)
Making some characters disappear or be shunned in disgrace gets you the same dialog treatment as if you'd killed them. Your choices impact the hostiles you encounter but not much else. The chaos system is a good idea but it needs mor...

@Dark_King: The two consoles have the same anount of RAM but in the PS3 it is partitioned into 256MB general-purpose RAM and 256MB video RAM, whereas the XBOX has a single 512MB pool. That means that for games and applications that aren't graphically intensive, the XBOX can act as if it had almost 400MB of RAM. (Maybe more if the game uses tiling.)
Open world games like the Bethesda RPGs need a *lot* of memory to keep track of the objects in a given geographic "cell" or ...

Well, MS did recently drop the price of the Kinect Sensor by $40 without dropping the price of the bundles so $50 on the Kinect bundles is just keeping up with *that* price drop. As of this morning, the base 4GB 360 is still $199 so it's just the Kinect bundles getting discounted.

At this point it isn't clear that either MS or Nintendo care about PS3 pricing. They're actually more interested in taking care of their own businesses.
Given the bundle-only dis...

Exactly.
They are misinterpretting what he said.
All the apps he mentioned are accessible via the web so they will be accessible from the *existing* XBOX360 with the next Dashboard update.

The whole "populist leader turns out to be egomaniac" trope is common in movies and games because it actually *happened*.
Read some history, guys.
Oliver Cromwell.
French revolution.
Russian revolution.
Iranian revolution.
Just to name a few; there are dozens of older examples from european history of regional populist rebellions.
And yes, several of the leaders of the American revolution used some of the same confrontational t...

That's what they want.
What they're actually going to get:

1- XBOX price cut

3- Wii Price cut
4- Wii U price cut
5- COD demo
6- Halo 4 Demo
7- PS4 GT6 Tech demo
8- Dishonored demo
9- Mario for WiiU demo
10- Peter Molyneaux tech demo

In other words: E3?

I don't get what the fuss is about.
I tried to import my least charismatic (i.e., male) Shepard and it didn't import the face. So I simply entered the *face code* from ME2. (I have 3 different Shepards with different romantic entanglements--or lack there-of.)
Problem solved.

If you don't have the code handy, fire up ME2, load the character, and go to the squad screen. If it doesn't show the code, do a save and load that one.
Works fine ...

I gave up on DA2 half-way through.
I was bored out of my gourd and there was new FALLOUT NEW VEGAS DLC. By the time I was done, Skyrim was on the way.

I played the demo.
In all three modes, all difficulties and 5 out of 6 classes.
Shoot-duck-blast.
It's ME2 with gun mods. (That you can't use in the demo.) No inventory, no companion armor mods, no significant strategy options.
They tweaked the cloak so it's not totally useless, they added grenades as a power, which *is* totally useless, and the drone actually distracts one opponent.
It's still a shooter.
Story is disposable; tha...

Why is Ashley different? Actually, she just got herself a vamp hairdo and a pushup bra instead of a sensible bun and heavy armor. Biological alarm clock? The desire to go out in style? EA wanting to sell an Ashley bishoujo statue? Does it really matter? How hard is it to figure out it's pandering, plain and simple?

Most accessible of the trilogy? Well, sure. Anybody who played the demo or read about it knows you can dispense with all the characterization and get to the sh...

Those five issues *are* nitpicks.
Funny thing is that while he picks at those nits, the two *big*, questionable design decisions in Skyrim passed right by him.

Skyrim dropped *two* of the best features of Morrowind and Oblivion: Spellcrafting and arbitrary enchantments.
That means the experimentation potential of the game came down at least an order of magnitude.

It seems like every time they prettify the games they drop more and more of...

Thing is, ODST isn't a US$60 game anymore.
(It's two years old!)
Buy.com had it for $10 last month.

Even if you aren't a shooter fan (I'm not--I favor BioWare and Betheda RPG time sinks) that is a good price for an accessible peek into the Halo universe. (And there is a second story embedded in the rookie arc; a series of audio clips tell the story of a local girl named Sadie.)

ODST could've used a bit more Stealth ga...

It should be no shock to anybody who actually buys gaming hardware that MOVE and KINECT pricing should be accepted by the market. Product pricing is more of a black art than a science but Mr Sebastian obviously hasn't been paying much attention to the Wii space or he wouldn't be shocked; it has long been widely known that the typical Wii new home installation runs closer to $500 than the nominal $200.

SONY and MS clearly have, which is why MOVE pricing closely follo...

1- The "reporter" is misreading what GAME said.
Game said a data transfer cable will be available, not that it would be bundled in every 360-S. Microsoft clearly stated that the data transer kit is a separate retail product. Now, GAME may want to do a promo bundle on their own and throw the kit in but that does *not* mean that the 360-S itself *includes* it.

2- The suggested alternative of using a thumbdrive to transfer content "to a PC" is unn...

Asassin's Creed 2 made a ton of money for Ubisoft, DRM or no DRM. That's why there is an AC3 coming. Duh!

Read the statement carefully and you'll see the Ubisoft didn't sell as much Wii stuff as expected, because of the recession, *and* have been investing heavily in Natal and Move development that won't pay-off until next year. So they spent more than they took in. Hardly newsworthy these days, really.

Also, while nobody likes to lose...

For a guy so in love with the game he doesn't seem too familiar with it; Oblivion doesn't have sixteen gates. It has no real limit. I closed 64 individual ones after which they started repeating.

Oblivion is a great game but so far it is "merely" the fourth best RPG this gen, after Mass Effect 1&2, Fallout 3, and just ahead of Dragon Age.

The thing he neglects to mention is that Oblivion, for all its virtues, is very much an old-school rpg, all plot...
