The Witcher didn't but at the same time the devs stated many times what state the game was in, and that things would change.
But yeah WatchDogs most certainly is guilty for attempting a bait and switch. Ubisoft is one of the Publishers I would say actively abuses this ploy.
@abzdiine
Read the article. 1500$ includes the computer.
To be fair most games have those "Pre-Alpha Footage" disclaimers, but many gamers are far too stupid to realize that things can look worse and not necessarily better.
But at the same time VR is already a hardcore market. It's like saying "Oooooh not good, the new Ford Mustang is way more expensive than the Prius." Sure it may be true the people who want this experience will probably spend to have the better system.
It may be more expensive but consider the fact that indie game and fan conversion mods are what's largely going to sustain the majority of VR's library for the first few years.
No it's approximately 1,200 for the computer and $300 for the display.
Guerilla also pulled that whole KZ2 cinematic trailer bs back in the early days of the PS3
Then don't expect see anything for a games release 2 months before launch.
Hey why not? In a world where people despise DLC but still mindlessly defend a costume pack thats a few steps away from being a nude mod. The Devs probably thought that those same people would mindlessly buy it for the same reason; boobs.
Keep in mind Doom 2 actually took place on Earth and this technically is a Doom 3 sequel which was confusingly enough a Doom 1 re telling. So all in all this Doom will be on Earth.
Because you can't add things to a game once it's gone gold and the CDs have been printed. Theirs usually months between the game going gold and shipping so devs will keep working on stuff that get's added as Day one additions.
Hey Sony was experimenting with it by screwing up patches every now and again lol
No, just backers.
Just please don't let that somebody be Trowzer...
It's Trowzer the Snake! Oh Rare humor is back in full force.
Yeah why would a developer want their game to look as good as possible if it wasn't some tactile subterfuge from the corporate overlords? /s
Get real kid. And using an Xbox controller on PC might be tactial espionage marketing tactics... if the Xbox controller wasn't the de facto standard PC controller.
Here's what happened CDPR wanted the game to look good. So they played it on PC. Conan wanted a controller. So they gave him the standard PC contr...
"Just go back to throwing together sequels and roll in a fresh pile of millions."
Ah, the wonderful mindset of N4G. Never change. Never change.
I would absolutely LOVE a Power Stone 3! It's seriously one of the most fun games to play if you get a group of people together.
Or maybe just maybe they used the PC version because the devs wanted the game to look its best and Conan wanted a controller because its Conan and do you honestly think he would use keyboard and mouse on a stool? And then after all that they showed a box without a disclaimer simply because they just don't care as much as you do?
Perhaps... just perhaps no one in the world effing cares which platform its on as much as the derelict fanboys of N4G.
Some ones sandy ;D
@Khajiit86
Nope, we checked under the hood... it's a Mustang.
