Yeah and the most likely candidate at this point is MS, not just because of Ryse but what Crytek does for the PC space.

Yah there's no way this thing is actually being decided by the actual participants. And today is even further proof of that, the blue team (the only team to have not won any day yet) is in a COMMANDING lead... They're like 100,000 points ahead of ANY other team.

@blackbeld

Yeah cause Capcoms already in the habit of releasing old IPs and great games on a regular basis...

Are you really so desperate to smear MS that you're going to admit Sony failed too? Wow. Damage control at it's finest.

Hey at least you're not letting a few belligerent fanboys speak for an entire fanbas.... oh. Sorry, that's literally exactly what you did.

@Godmars

Devs know the specs. But they create high quality content and begin scaling it back. High poly models, 4k textures etc, and then they begin downgrading things to fit on the systems.

Let this be evidence as to why game's shouldn't be revealed too early, cause if they show what they had done at the time (In the case of Mirror's edge it was the combat system) people believe that it's "focusing too much on the combat" regardless of them proclaiming that it's sticking to it's parkour focused roots.

Oh and FYI it's not Mirror's Edge 2, it's just Mirror's Edge it's a reboot.

Awesome. Still doesn't make abandoning 1 million people any better.

Well the 360 sold over a million units in Japan, so while it's small compared to US sales, 1 million is 1 million might as well continue servicing what little support they do have.

What idea could anyone possibly "steal" here?

GOTY 2014! Callin it now!

4017d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well it depends, a lot of people are not as serious when it comes to gaming so they like the value proposition that consoles offer at a reduced price. That coupled with the fact that you get great exclusives from each platform.

But if you really want the top of the line visuals coupled with the most open market for indie games as well PC is just simply the way to go if you've got the money.

To add to that, the actor behind Tywin Lannister is also playing the role of Emperor Emhyr var Emreis of Niflgaard in The Witcher 3. So... like BAM!

Fitting name. I know that those 2 games alone have bumped the Wii U to my second need to purchase item now (first being a MakerBot).

In all honesty I'm actually kinda happy about this. In a game where people are so often executed in the most "Yup. They're dead." style. How characters are allowed to return game after game after game, was a bit ridicoulous. It got wacky to the nth degree when even a confirmed dead character returned.

This is MORTAL Kombat... no sense in calling it Mortal if the characters are undying.

4017d ago 11 agree2 disagreeView comment

No. I like the more intimate and grotesque violence X offers. Rather than the goofy semi slapstick of 9, it goes for a more... screaming in pure agony and horror as the characters watch themselves get mutilated.

Who could? With children like you mentioning it far more than Xbox fans and MS combined.

Hey we somehow forgot that Guerilla made ShellShock: Nam '67, so I'm sure we can forgive the makers of the R&C series for a stumble.
