Whilst I see it as pretty cynical virtue signalling myself. I also wanna day- all very well and good for MS to retweet sonys notice about their event being cancelled and present it as support but um MS haven't had to cancel anything to my knowledge and spreading the word that sonys event is cancelled is surely good for them. Let's see them share the announcement of the new date for the event and then I'll believe maybe they give a shit. As I said I consider it highly likely it'...

Actually this is a good point. How much money to save is an important factor because alot if people are gonna be strapped for cash come the end if the year with redundancies and job losses likely to be significant before the year is out.

Nah reckon they had another event for that. Sony said this one was for games abd there would be more events focused in the console and its features.

@TheColbinator actually its random violence that doesn't work. It hardens opposition against you and destroys your moral high ground. How can you purport to be pushing for rights for the little guy when someone else supporting that supposedly just dragged the aforementioned little guy out of his house of shop, stole his stuff then awful fire to it possibly with his wife and family still in it making them damn lucky to get out alive.

All violence usually does is give th...

Usually I'd agree but: pandemic has most people stuck at home for months now, can't meet friends, can't go to pubs or clubs etc, can't have parts or social gatherings, can't go to the cinema. So actually that people might be looking forward to seeing what games might be coming and info on the ps5 is not at all surprising.

Issue sony has now is whilst they clearly wanted to gk first ahead of the others holding events now they risk any 3rd party announcements that overlap with ea or ubisoft (were hints both COD and bf5 would appear) will be somewhat diminished by already being announced and shown by the publishers then theh have the very real risk of being overshadowed by how many events there are around theirs and thus lessening the impact of their media machine. Really do feel that whilst I totally get their p...

And apparently the military has now been called in to deal with matters which is a dangerous decision. Could easily go very south. However I don't really see what that had todo with a Japanese games company doing a youtube live stream....

Basically overhyped loudmouth of a dev makes new ip that's nothing special and looks fairly generic. Sells badly. Blames hardware it released on and rhe player base rather than just accept it was clearly not great. I follow gaming news closely and either hadn't heard of this title or forgot all about it so the marketing nust have been crap aswell...

Also considering it's review scores I just looked up that woukd suggest that he is insinuating xbox players are m...

rachet and clank into the nexus wasn't even a full length game. Beyond two souls was 2nd party and was due to release before ps4 reveal but may have been delayed...., Gran turismo 6 sells itself and it's not exactly a new IP. There was no pandemic and lockdowns that could cause games to be delayed...

sony explained this in inevestor call the other day. They haven't revealed their launch games yet because they want to be sure the virus and lockdowns won't mean they have to delay those games.

August because of the delayed gohst of Tsushima release date but I expect we will see stuff in June.

1856d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

we will hear about ps5 in june as that was the original release date of Ghost of Tsushima. Things like that event will have been baked in months in advance. I reckon only reason they didn't do an event to announce a few launch titles is the virus and the uncertainty that's caused on deadlines for games.

they haven't if they had epic games wouldn't have been able to mention the other platforms in marketing materials which they have. No PS5 was used because of the SSD and because sony consulted with them on the design of the ps5. Epic games wanted to show off the fast streaming in of large amounts of data as clearly that is one of the biggest changes. That clearly makes sense todo on the console with the faster memory solution which is the ps5- it's a unique feature.

they may be planning to use unreal 5 but until it releases no one is using unreal engine 5 as it isn't available to anyone outside of epic games internal use....

@flavour sont expect to sell slightly less than with the ps4 launch no doubt due to the massive financial crash due to the virus lockdowns.
