Solid review. I'm curious if people who play this game will try out the Dynasty Warriors series.
Naughty Dog doesn't owe people anything. They chose to stream it, if you were not at the live event too bad. The stream was free.
Microsoft isn't developing one and they have the Kinect which isn't doing well/no one likes it. They will probably develop one late in the game after Oculus and Sony.
Good list but why Minecraft, it would just be all pixely. AN RTS game could work, stand in front of a giant map with all the units on it and zoom in and out and grab and pick things up like Tony Stark's virtual office.
damn straight
Even if it doesn't sell well that hardware is the future, it's the first competent step towards VR. I think it will take a lot of time to build up sales since, it will probably be very expensive.
Very well done. A Grand Theft Auto game in Europe would pretty great, Madrid, London or Hamburg.
Why would the analyst in the article expect GTA V to sell up to 10 million? Everyone that wants the game got it and it's the same game with updated visuals. While it will sell quite a bit maybe 2 million first year, it's nothing new.
Is it a 4k tv? I'm sure PS4 games will at some point be upscaled in some way.
I'm surprised they didn't feature a Sony TV. I think their tvs are great but overpriced, plus some of them have compatibility with PS3, there are some cool cross features. Also I have a great 24 inch Vizio tv (yes I know tiny, I'm broke) and it has great picture but poor sound and a cheaply built controller, don't know if that applies to all vizio tvs.
maybe it's your computer. I haven't heard anyone having issues with it.
Great list. The Yakuza games and Enslaved are fantastic it's a shame not many people played them. No More Heroes was ported to PS3 and Xbox so more people should try that game, look insanely fun. I wrote an Enslaved review if you want to take a look http://greasyjoystick.com/e...
I hope physical copies stay alive and thrive. The games by Thatgamecompany were going to be bundled on one disc but they never went through it. More digital games should be bundled and have special physical releases like all the Pixeljunk games
Great reasons, I love owning physical games. Having a collection of great games on a shelf is like having classic books on display.
Sadly the PSVita is neglected and I don't know why. If they would treat it like a mobile phone and an archive it would be selling well. Put every old PS1, PS2 game on it, add more apps, add the mobile games that are becoming popular. Rockstar has remastered their GTA games for IOS, put those on Vita. The Vita could become moderately successful if Sony would support it. The PSP was successful and it didn't that many good games, there is no excuse the PSV can't be with all its power...
Difficulty should never be a selling point. Any game can be difficult you just turn up the difficulty or add ways to screw the player. The MGS games are insanely hard on EXtreme mode but, Konami doesn't use that as a selling point.
I felt like the only one who wasn't excited about the game. It looked big and visually impressive but not fun. Making a good open world game is hard and Sleeping Dogs looked average at best.
Prices will be high for a while until they get their subscriber base up and add more features and get more games on it.
Game Stack guys revisit old games which is great. I do the same but I'm not as good as them.
I never care about resolution but really you can't make a 10 year old game run at 30fps at 1080p on a Xbox One. This Halo collection is the only big thing for the Xbox right now and they can't get the resolution right. How every game on PS4 and Xbox One isn't a minimum of 30fps and 1080p is beyond me. Shouldn't developers be aiming for higher resolutions, if the consoles can support higher resolutions so they can work with 4k TVs.
