Definitely an interesting read here; an angle of the used games debate that isn't often covered. Turns out, games are crazy expensive to make, and the industry can be extremely volatile for nearly everyone but the well known giants. Should be interesting to see what comes in the next few months.
Yea, I think I would agree. I think it was partially taken out of context by the editing of the GT interview, and partially just a bit of a gaff. I don't think Jaffe hates women at all... but his choice of words in this case probably weren't the best.
What an awesome read! Definitely insightful and enlightening as to the real work that a game tester does.
I agree. I think the move to focus on the hardcore was a brilliant decision. I honestly wish more developers would do that anyway, but nonetheless I'm really looking forward to what THQ has in store this year.
I think the multiplayer tech is extremely impressive here; the graphics tech on the other hand is not. But that wasn't really the point of the exercise with Man vs. Machine... It was to showcase how many simultaneously players could be in the same match at the same time. Now if they could take that tech and apply it to AAA FPS titles we'll really have something to get excited about.
It was not. I typically have a really good track record with quality posts (this is obviously an exeption), but I thought gamers would get a kick out of this either way.
I know it's pretty much a futile effort, but it was too funny not to give it a try.
I definitely agree; Anime and comic books are great resources for games!
Good catch bixomau! We've made the correction.
Yes, this article is more or less a continuation of that joke; it's essentially a parody of the whole scenario.
I agree though, as a huge dog person, I support PETA all the time (though I could probably do without cats, haha).
Haha, I think 343 should give this a good hard look, and bring the writer onto their dev team.
This is seriously incredible! I can't imagine how long it must have taken to put all of this together, but it's definitely one of the most creative things I've read in quite some time!
Well, there was recent news that Visceral Games (the developer of Dead Space) was shut down, so that may have put some doubt out there as to the state of Dead Space's future.
Generally I definitely agree with you here, but to be fair to Io Interactive, they're currently devoting almost all of their resources towards the development of Hitman Absolution, which is currently looking incredible. I'm perfectly happy to let them finish Hitman before starting on another title; Absolution is currently my most anticipated game of 2012 hands down.
It could be though, that the reason they're hiring is to staff a new project (such as Freedom Figh...
Shameless plug, but here's what our review of this episode:

The scene with Jesse at NA was incredibly powerful; so much emotion in that monologue.
Yea, I would agree. The title is very misleading. That's not artwork, and it isn't new (this info was released months ago).
While all of this information is accurate, these details aren't new really at all. More details, with actual descriptions, can be found in this three part preview starting here:

It was published over two weeks ago.
Thanks BadCircuit! After gawking over that Deus Ex arm for a solid 30 minutes, we couldn't wait to give it some attention on the site; it was legitimately one of the coolest things we saw at the show, games or otherwise.
I couldn't agree more. Especially when you consider that more times than not, you're only saving $5 on a used game anyway. It's worth $5 to me just to give appreciation to the developers... and for that new game smell. Ahhh, the smell.
