I feel like this has largely already been done. If you look at sites like www.giantbomb.com, www.thegameeffect.com, www.ign.com, etc, they provide very similar features as what they're proposing with this site.
Still looks interesting though!
I'm really looking forward to this game actually! The aesthetic, the lead character, and the overall plot are all pretty intriguing to me. Hoping everything plays out as well as it looks!
I'm all for getting new titles, even if it is a Metal Gear game (partially because it's my all-time favorite franchise, and partially because MGS: GZ looks amazing).
Also, @jon1234, I freaking love your avatar. Worms is such an enduring classic!
I believe you are mistaken here. Kur0 and Outside_ofthe_Box have it pegged, haha. This game is almost definitely associated with the MGS canon. And either way, I'm stoked for it!
This series, thus far, has caught me completely by surprise. When the game was initially announced I honestly didn't have high expectations, but as review scores and professional opinion indicates, Telltale has done an incredible job with The Walking Dead. Kudos to them!!
Hahaha, "If it's in the game, it's in the game" as they say, haha.
@shutUpAndTakeMyMoney:
Let's consider the fact that Valve *frequently* takes the ideas of other people and brands them as their own. They did it with Counter-strike, they did it with Portal, and they'll likely do it again in the future. I will say that Half-life is a revolutionary franchise; it's incredible, no doubt.
But Valve as a developer has all but abandoned their fans with the near complete blackout of Half-life 3 information. And as s...
This makes a lot of sense if you're a hardcore gamer; at this point, do we really need another gimmicky device to appeal to the casual crowd? As a long-time gamer and fan or real games, I'd say no :)
Agree with IndieJones, this list is for 2012; Witcher 2 released last year.
Great game though.
I'm not sure how the author is to blame for spoiling anything here; the entire purpose of the article is contrary to that point.
However, I do agree that if you don't want to know about a game, you can do your best to ignore the trailers, press releases, and commercials (something that's also mentioned in the article)... Though ignoring these things is sometimes easier said than done.
That actually does seem to be a viable workaround; just a bit of a hassle to do so.
I couldn't agree more with this article. The practice of "Review in progress" "articles" is disgusting to me. IGN is the most egregious offender in this case, as they seem to do it for every major review. If you have a review in progress, MAKE A TWITTER POST, and keep the real articles for your site.
It's amazing to me how hypocritical gamers can be though, as we (collectively) seem to denounce sites like IGN, yet continue to visit it on a daily...
I would definitely say if you find yourself following in the path of any one of these warning signs, you may have a problem, haha.
Gamerscore is a great idea and concept, but I'd love to see it yield more tangible rewards for those who are truly dedicated to it.
Sorry for any confusion here... Definitely not trying to show off; just stating that I bought the card with the hope of playing UE4 games. I bought it late last year, after hearing that the Keplar series wouldn't be available until late Q1/Q2 of this year.
I can't wait to see the first game running on this beast of an engine. I bought a new GTX 590 in part because I was hoping to be able to run an UE4 game at max, but it sounds like I may need to upgrade when that time comes.
It really varies. I would recommend going with a quad core if you're getting a new PC though, as it will be good now, and help prepare you for future titles much better than a dual core will.
As for graphics card, it depends on your budget. I would definitely wait until nVidia's keplar (600 series) cards release though. That way you should be able to get a 500 series card for less, or you can get a 600 series card and have cutting edge tech. It does depend on your ...
I'm hoping that this boost can in some way help to prevent the copious crashes I've experienced recently. I have a super powered gaming PC as well, so I'd rather have stability than a performance boost at this point.
SSOA is awesome though.
It will be really interesting to see how the game actually plays now that Blow has gone from 2D and into the 3D realm. Hope it's sooner rather than later.
Twisted Metal Black was definitely one of my fave PS2 games, especially since it was an innovator in the PS2 online "movement." I also gave it lots of props for featuring the Rolling Stones song at the beginning.
Looking forward to checking this out.
Hey guys!
You definitely have valid points here, but just because we're not at the forefront of the industry (like IGN and Gamespot) doesn't make our content any less veracious. We are simply trying to protect the anonymity of our source per their request. We're still negotiating with them, but the tip is absolutely legitimate.
But again, from your perspective I can certainly see where your skepticism comes from. As the owner of the site I felt...
