@Hexx...Imo if it succeeds they'll probably make more spin offs,maybe more console games or handhelds,haters don't like this but business is business,due to Square & Japan loving Lightning especially if this game sells at least in the numbers that FF-XII-2 did,but Square said that LR is suppose to be the last of the story,we'll see.
FF-XIII sold over 6 mill,FF-XIII-2 sold a little over 3 mill so that's about half.
FF-XIII wasn't a flop,but imo only half of those who bought the game didn't like it that's why the 2nd sold only half of what FF-XIII did.I happen to really like FF-XIII & didn't care for pt 2 due to the fact Lightning wasn't playable throughout the game,no summons & no other human characters to recruit to fight in your party but imo LR looks interesting.
Just give me a great game to play with awesome graphics (that's why I was born with eyes)& I'm fine,Playstion 4 me!!
It's good that you're enjoying FF-XIII,imo FF-XIII-2 wasn't as fun as XIII,I'm thinking about buying LR also.

I hope the FF franchise continue to put out games for FF fans such as myself,FF is my favorite jrpg franchise,whenever I hear news of a new FF being developed for release I'm like a excited kid,I don't care for the MMO's but the standard games I do enjoy. The old store u could navigate better & faster,the new one looks nice but is super slow to enter & to download stuff,it's a get on your nerves process.
IMO...I think some higher ups in Squares camp has love for XB also,due to the fact the 360 has gotten at least 3 or 4 exclusives from Square & the PS3 has not,the one they promised to be exclusive to the PS3 (FFvsXIII) they renamed & now it's a multi plat.
Why pay 35 dollars for this when the game is over 3 yrs old & the second game is exclusive to Nintendo,imo it should be packaged with Bayonetta 2 limited edition.
The XB don't have any AAA exclusives or exclusives period this year & it's still beating PS3 in sales in the USA,talk about crazy.
I want a PS4 by XMAS but if not,I'll get one around tax time Feb/Mar 2014,I'm playing alot of games now on my PS3 & there are more exclusives I want to buy & play throughout the year & into the next.
This is why I'll be holding on to my PS3 well into the next year!

@Wrighty...There are almost 160 mill consoles out there in homes etc,when the new gen starts I'm quite sure not even half those numbers will be next gen owners by Feb 2014 when LR releases...so people will buy this game,we'll see just how many fans or first timers buy it.
