I've been playing through the complete edition of Dragon Age Origins (with all DLC's) and I can't seem to grasp Bioware's logic with Dragon Age 2. Why dumb down and downright destroy an old-school RPG only to replace it with a rushed, half-game with most convoluted story in any Bioware game, ever?
I have no hopes for the sequel (if there is one even), especially if they are planning to continue with the Hawke storyline... why bother really.
Halo before Half Life and Deus Ex and no Half Life 2? Yeah, personal list is personal.
Wow, this actually looks pretty cool.
Half Life was a game changer.
Half life 2 was a game changer.
Half Life 3... will be a game changer if: innovative Half Life FPS gameplay + next gen-engine + Steam = profit.
Who's even surprised by this, seriously?
It does give more closure, but not a lot. There were some downright silly moments (SPOILERS) like the Normandy coming to save your teammates, some great moments, like the Control Ending which was my favorite (and the Femshep naration)... the rest was, just meh.
Erm, what people need to understand (especially the "late Diablo players) is that Diablo has always been about THAT late-game grind. Yeah we had 99 levels in Diablo 2 with each class (but it got pretty frustrating since it took a year to level a character if solo) but it was always, ALWAYS about the grind. This is the game's greatest asset and its greatest weakness... either you stay awhile and get into the whole "get new item for X class / AH" or you don't. Simple as t...
The two issues are completely different and should be observed differently. In Bioware's case, we got a game where most of the gamers felt the ending was unsatisfactory. In Blizzard's case, they boasted for a new type of service and failed to deliver it in the first couple of days (it is fine now).
However, the author has a point when signifying the importance of constructive feedback on a related issue. We as consumers have the right to a reliable and completed produ...
I am. I've been playing Diablo 2 for a decade and this new installment has surpassed it in every way: story, gameplay, design, presentation... it all wreaks of AAA quality.
I really hated their decision with the "always online" for a single player game (I am still having internet connection issues and lags) though the core of the experience is still indescribable.
It is fine. Like we haven't really experienced this type of problems with every WoW launch. It is to be expected. What I do find disturbing is the awful lag in the evening hours and the instability of the servers, sometimes costing me ENTIRE hours of progress (also dropping in and out of other player's games)... It is all worth it in the end though ;)
Truth be told, no one from Valve has ever (EVER) teased about an actual START on development for Half Life 3. For all we know, it might be Half Life 2: Episode 3 in the end... just saying.
Damned Rockstar for releasing this on the same day as Blizzard's Diablo 3... Brb. Need to go and rob a bank or something.
You don't want new and improved gameplay mechanics, a better and more enhanced story and the possibility to try out a brand new and innovative multyplayer mode? Well aren't you the enthusiastic type.
Seeing how Valve continues to elude the slightest hint for Half Life 3, I'd bet it will be along for the next generation, and thus, will probably grace the consoles.
I want IT to revolutionize the genre again. With all these COD's and Battfields it has become all too stale and... well, boring. Every Half Life game was a new beginning for the FPS genre in terms of both direction and innovation. I am certain the peeps at Valve still posses that uniqueness that will guarantee an awesome game.
PS: What's with the haters of Half Life multyplayer? Sure,i it wasn't exactly without flaws but it was great in its own right. I loved the ...
No matter what people tell you, do try the original Half Life first. The game, although more than 13 years old is still awesome. You can be excused for omitting Blue Shift, it is rather short and, ugh, insignificant (Opposing Force is pretty decent though).
Then go through Half Life 2 and the episodes. Trust me, the hype and praise is nowhere more justified than here.
Or the author just wants to cash in a few clicks by mentioning Mass Effect 3 Ending in the title. Seriously, this is BEYOND desperate.
The hell is wrong with the Xperia Play? Have people even seen the list of games that are supported (not to mention the upcoming Onlive feature).
It isn't all about the graphics. People complain about COD games because the GAMEPLAY hasn't had a single new addition since the Modern Warfare. Oh and before you all go "why fix what ain't broke" let me tell you just one thing - a multyplayer oriented, competitive FPS online shooter should differentiate from each installment MAINLY because playing the same shit you've mastered for 2 years is just PLAIN DULL. People get new games (installments) of the series in hopes...
I am guessing Nintendo isn't really keen on the "next gen" transition. Oh well. They never really focused on graphics to entertain their fanbase so bring it on.
