Despite my much greater sympathy for Zelda, I don't like this two-way view when it comes to measuring. Would Zelda be better at 60 fps? Undoubtedly!
It would also be better at a resolution higher than 900p and with HDR. The game is wonderful anyway, but I don't believe that the player didn't tell himself "what if?" while playing.
For me, the biggest example of PS5's capabilities is the game Returnal.
Practically non-stop use of adaptive triggers, haptics, speakers, 60 fps, 3D sound, polished visuals full of effects, fast SSD loading while running through portals.
Ratchet, God of War and Horizon make great use of these things, but in Returnal it's the most intense use I think, and it's also the only NEW Sony brand of this PS generation!
And it's just for PS5, not like God of w...
My young cousin also said only digital. But then he bought The Quarry game on the day of release (60 euros), and when he finished playing it in one afternoon, he was scratching his head. I laughed at him, and now he's buying discs too. :D
PSVR1 came out in October, and a million units sold didn't celebrate until June of the next year. That means it took 9 months! PSVR2 has 300,000 in ONE month, and it's a tragedy?
With this rate and a possible discount in the future, by the end of the generation, it could be more than double that of its predecessor.
game pass recruitment phase ends, now comes the harvest. Finish the acquisition and put higher prices or advertisements into games with no alternative to buy elsewhere. Enjoy
I love this game, even though I haven't managed to beat it yet. I couldn't get past the fourth boss at PSVR1, but now I'm at the fifth on PSVR2, so hopefully I'll move on.
It's a very addictive game, but really fast.
One of the biggest gaming shops in my country (CZ- EU) wrote on twitter that PSVR2 had a launch more than three times bigger than PSVR1.
I agree with the bad timing, but I don't think Elden Ring was the only problem for Horizon 2. I never really liked Horizon's gameplay, but the first one had the momentum of a fresh new IP on its side, and a big story mystery about what happened in the game world.
The second one doesn't have that on its side anymore, so the game feels like a beautiful-looking but boring patchwork of annoying side tasks and loot collecting.
I went platinum from the first game, but ...
I agree! I would also like 3rd person games in VR. Ratchet, Knack, Stray etc. would also be absolutely ideal candidates.
I just finished playing Moss book 2 (my first PSVR2 game), and an absolutely amazing adventure without the possibility of motion sickness
Moss 1 was a great game. The only thing that bothered me was that the collectible currency in the game couldn't be spent on some uprgrade. The only satisfaction for collecting was just a trophy.
The second part will probably be my first game on PSVR2. (I have a package without Horizon, which I will wait for the box release)
I like to see Tetris and Thumper in the list. Great games that I keep coming back to.
I bought PSVR about a year after its release, but I'm already buying PSVR 2 right from the start. Everything you could complain about with the first generation is already solved here. (Higher resolution, more modern and accurate controlers, easy to install)
Things like eye tracking, and haptics, are just the cherry on the cake.
I guess it's a shorter PSVR2 game? Maybe at CES 2023? https://www.youtube.com/wat...
It needs a new category on the VGA: "quietest publisher of the year"
I like the new GOW, but I also miss the straightforwardness and the more epic nature of the Greek parts. I mean, for example, the scenes where the titan Cronos crushes you between his fingers. Climbing on a walking Pandora's temple, etc...
The new parts have more RPG elements and are more mature on the game side, but they have lost a lot of gods scale
I will definitely buy, but I am considering if I must necessarily buy on day one. Horizon is not enough for me yet. I need a confirmed update for Moss book 2, Beat Saber, and some new game with Astrobot (the best game on PSVR1).
The price is fine! The first PSVR cost $399, but only the HELMET ITSELF was in the package. The player had to buy the camera and the move controllers separately. This costs $549, but the controllers are in the package, and nothing else is needed.
So, same price
For a game that bears the name of the main character, and is largely based on the character's charm, it's a very measly salary.
Nathan from Uncharted 3 had a fee of 50,000, I think. And that was about 10 years ago?
R.I.P.
Any regime built on fear and lies is doomed. RatPutin will end up just like Ceausescu. (Lukashenko the same)
It's just unfair and terrible that by then the lives of thousands of innocent Ukrainians and Russians will have been taken.
TLOU MP, new Astrobot for PSVR2, at least one promising new IP (+ maybe a new one from Ueda), and I'll be absolutely happy.
