What a load of nonsense...

That's a great video. The PS5 is huge but I don't think that matters much, just hoping it's going to be nice & quite.

Phoenix. It will do 4k tho if it's more powerful than an Xbox One X.
Plus tons of ppl are still using HD tvs. They ain't bothered about 4k.
They can always upscale.

Microsofts Lockhart will definitely be more powerful than the Xbox One X. Despite 4tf it will have a much faster cpu & much more up to date gpu with all the software plus points it will bring.
It will still be using an SSD drive exactly like the one in the Xbox Series X.
The thing is, if the PS5 is £450 & the disc less version is £350, the Xbox Series X could match Sonys £450 but the Lockhart version could be as low as £229. Microsoft won't b...

TimoTim, this is exactly my way of thinking. When I bought an Xbox One X earlier this year it was mainly for Gamepass. I didn't have to pay out another ton of money on games I could just pay a monthly fee.
The first few months payments were worth it for Forza Horizon, I played that to death & even bought the extras.
Plus I use Bing for all my internet search so I get enough Microsoft points to get 6 months of Gamepass for free.
Gamepass is incredible value....

This looks great, it reminds me a little of Alan Wake.

This article is a good read, if anything like this is shown at the Xbox Event it would be an excellent show.
I do expect to see 1 or 2 games with a lengthy gameplay section, Hellblade maybe. Something that really shows off the Series X.

What on Earth has Microsoft & Sonys sales numbers have to do with it?
Razzer, check out digital foundry, they point out that Microsoft constantly emphasised Locked cpu gpu. DF explained why this is so important.

Ppl are comparing the percentage difference in Xbox Series X gpu & PS5 gpu with Xbox locked at 12.1 & Sonys variable not locked at 10.4.
Its a bigger difference than you think. Sony played a blinder showing the highest the PS5 could theoretically reach as your all falling for it.
STUNA, "lower amount of CU's....but clocked significantly higher than competitor" you actually think that 36 CU's clocked slightly higher is going to beat the 56 of the Xb...

I think this could be the best Xbox Event of all time, I think they will have a ton of games nobody was expecting plus I think they will have some really big surprises too.
I am expecting 1 or 2 Mic drop moments aswell.
I think the pricing could be one of them..

£349 for the UK digital version of the PS5 would be great.

"They boast power for years and continuously show games that look last gen or games that look like they're meant for Nintendo wii. I dont know why though since Microsoft says they don't believe in generations anymore so the Xbox series x isn't a next generation console."
Wow, stay off of the drugs mate...

Totally agree, it's ridiculous. If Microsoft announce the Xbox Series X is actually 16tf & will sell for £199 they'd play that down somehow.

What are you talking about? I know the benefits of a faster SSD, it loads things faster.
Plus my counter argument about a 1 or 2 seconds of upscaling to make up for a slower ssd is absolutely tiny & only happens occasionally in R&C.
What scenario are you thinking we will see the big benifits to having this super duper SSD?
Where did I say I didn't believe the devs? I just don't understand what they are trying to say. Nowhere did they say it was going...

Nobody on N4G or even actual devs have given me an explanation how Sonys PS5 SSD will out perform the Xbox Series X as far as the SSD is concerned apart from the obvious loading a game faster...
Ive watched the Epic/Sony demo as well & from my knowledge of tech I just don't get it. SSDs even super fast ones like in the PS5 is super slow compared to Ram.
Perhaps someone could explain what the hell is going on.

"Those seem like pretty big differences to me. And whats that you say SX would need to use dynamic res to keep up with PS5... interesting."
How would that be a BIG difference. It would last merely seconds. You'd never notice..

1819d ago 6 agree9 disagreeView comment

For the R&C comparison the Xbox Series X SSD is fast enough. If R&C is running at 4k & the SX version would take double the time to load they could reduce the resolution & upscale for the 1st few seconds of the new transition before going back to 4k. There's a few ways around it.
The Xbox Series X SSD is very fast I can't see the PS5 SSD being much of a difference to games...

Well you could get dvd players with a VHS player built in. Then when ppl switched to bluray their new players could also play their older dvds

Sorry it upsets you I'm buying an Xbox Series X day one & I love Gamepass.
I know it's not popular to say around here but I'm not really into most of the Sony exclusives. I like Gears plus I love Ori & love forza horizon I bought an Xbox One X just for Gamepass as I could play these games without having to buy them plus a load of games I really liked on the Xbox 360 & it's great how enhanced some of them are.
I didn't buy a PS4 or Xbox One wh...

Xbox Series x for me on release day. I have already sold my One X so I'd get some tidy money for it.
Gamepass is my biggest reason as I won't have to buy 2 or three games at launch I can just get gamepass and have all the 1st party games on day one.
