I agree, SE did opposite of what I expected from them.

And They did team up with a Western Dev, with GRIN, on a Final Fantasy Spin off title set in the fictional world of Ivalice, under the code name Fortress and "set some time after Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings".

I think the title has been outsourced to another Western ...

I think The delay helped advertised GT5. Did you see how many articles complained about it, list it as a most delayed title, or started rumors about a 2011 release date? At least every gaming site had to have a story about GT5's delay.

Yep, then Sony announced the release date and it just went straight up the charts on Amazon. Not only that, GT5 release is close to Black Friday, so I would think that would help add word of mouth that GT5 is finally out.

Exactly.

Anyone checked Neogaf? Looks like they mocked up some screens.

Yeah, I think Harmonix might go to EA or Konami hopefully not Activision. I don't think MS will buy them though, cause Dance Central is right now, only possible on Kinect so MS doesn't have to worry about exclusivity.

That's great to hear that it's a success, Maybe now Capcom might consider porting RE4 & RE: Darkside Chronicles to the PS3.

Nope, Final Fantasy XIV for PS3 is still on track for a March 2011 release.

Lucky for SE, The decision for them to delay the PS3 version turned out to be a good move, considering the way the PC version is being poorly received. That way PS3 users don't have to DL major updates.

Yahoo was talking at a sales perspective. Alan Wake sales flopped. But other than that the game was solid.

Square Enix screwed up their fanbase.

The problem was how they transitioned from PS2 to this Gen. They threw plenty of Titles at the Xbox360, which would have been no problem, if it they were multiplatform. But in this case, they were all either exclusive or time exclusive to Xbox360. Which early PS3 adopters were upset with especially those who were SE fans. Hell, SE couldn't even release The Last Remnant for PS3 and they finally managed to release their first PS3 game j...

I don't think this is right.
LBP 2 and DC Universe on 1/14/2011.
And Motorstorm 3, Socom 4, Singstar PS3, and Heores on the Move, all on the same day? I don't think Sony would do that. I'm pretty sure every publisher would space the releases out to maximize the sales.

But the release date for GT5 is possible considering some people actually have retail copies of it.

Why don't you just enjoy other games like multiplatform games? Call of Duty: Black Ops? Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood? Sly Cooper Collection?

Seriously, Sony and their developers only want to make the best game possible, why don't you just give them the time and let them do that. It's not like were any short on games. And so what if this is their weakest showing of exclusives for the Holiday. Will it help knowing next year will have at least 20+ PS3 Exclusives...

No

Demon Souls, Vanquish, Bayonneta, Super Steet Fighter 4, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Valkyria Chronicles, MGS4, Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, No More Heroes, Monster Hunter Tri, practically most of the Mario games, etc are all great games that were developed by Japanese developers this gen and that's not even including The Last Guardian and Gran Turismo 5 which will probably be one of the shining examples that will show Japanese devs are not in troubl...

It would be great if it did Halo/Cod Numbers. It would really give meaning towards Single Player Only games. Either way though, I'm still gonna check Infamous 2 out.

That's because there's an actual difference from upscaling a 480p PS2 game to 720 PC Monitor to a 480p PS2 game remastered and tailored through a developer to make it fit a 720p HDTV.

Here's a PC version by a Gaf Member

Then here's a Remastered version for PS3

I don't get what's funny. Sony is hoping Nintendo's 3DS will help them push 3D into mainstream.

I think it's just better to avoid any tease from Keighly, and just watch the VGA's and enjoy it. Then you won't be disappointed if some speculation or rumor tells you that "Game X" will be revealed at the VGA's and then nothing about "Game X" is showed. But it would be really awesome if we got a trailer for Agent during the show. Haven't heard a word about it since last year's E3 and the VGA's would be a good place to showcase Rockstar's Nor...

Exclusives huh,... So I hear MS is spending $500 million for advertising Kinect.

But Keiji Inafune wasn't even apart of the RE5 project. I think your confusing him with Jun Takeuchi, of whom, produce both RE5 and Lost Planet 2, in which he suggested both should emphasize and add in Co-op. Recently Capcom placed Jun as the replacement for Keiji so I wouldn't be surprised if more capcom titles just focused on co-op than the Single Player Experience.

Good Interview, After reading this, I see why he hated his job and why he resigned.

KI: "Not a single member of the board of directors understands games."

Now it makes the list of creative minds who left Capcom to four.
Atsushi Inaba, Shinji Mikami, Hideki Kamiya, now Kenji Inafune.
Good to hear he's not leaving the game industry and that he's looking to open his own studio.
