I was kind of excited to have this on a handheld. Would've been cool to take on the go. But after watching all the performance deep dives, it runs as bad as the new Pokemon game. Maybe worse. Too bad. There were parts were the frame rate drops below 15fps. Not good for a Souls-like game that requires precise button presses.
The game is very empty and lifeless. I'm not really having much fun with it and I'm almost done the game. Mechanically, its great. So many quality of life improvements. Technically, it's an embarrassment. The further you progress into the game, the worse the frame rate gets. The giant Lake and the Snowy Mountains are awful. There no part of the story I find interesting. Just the usual 'collect 8 badges and go to the Pokemon league.' I hope the criticism is a wake up call f...
Despite the game having some of the best mechanics in a Pokemon game to date, it i so annoyingly broken. It really is hampering any fun I'm having while playing. The framerate is terrible. Collision detection, wall barriers and terrain are so glitchy. This game is really a 6/10 at best because of how bad it runs.
Same. Thanks to all their free games offerings, I have more game in my Epic library than Steam.
It's funny because with as long as it took them to put the music on, I'm betting they didn't even have it set up, not thinking something like this would happen. With the Oscars, they do it for people taking too long, but also for people that get up there to shout out political BS.
It's why I didn't buy it a launch. Despite being one of my favorite games ever. That was always an insane price. Maybe now they'll drop it.
The game can't even run smoothly. Let's start there before adding things.
I think this was the weirdest announcement for me. This game, especially because of its cast, seems like a game that would've come out in the early 2000s on PS2, almost as a joke, piggybacking of of GTAs success.
I think very early on we knew this game was going to basically be Dead Space without the name. I'm not saying that justifies it being unoriginal. But its also all most of us really wanted after Visceral got shut down.
When I first started the game I was amazed at all the quality of life improvements. The auto battle was easily one of my favorite features. Grinding took no time at all. It's enjoyable to play.
I noticed some slow downs and shadow glitches right away, but I was having fun. But the more and more I play, the harder and harder it is to ignore the abysmal performance, ugly ass textures and large number of graphical glitches.
I was blinded at first, but ...
There's always the entitled "you owe us" garbage. I always find it funny. You pay for a service, they give you free games in return. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're bad. But don't act like they owe you.
Of the Sony games releasing on PC, this one is the biggest no-brainer. PC driving wheel set ups, mods, High performance graphics cards and unlocked frame rates. The PC community would eat it up. The list of possibilities is endless.
Gotta find a way to get an influx of cash from new suckers..... I mean players.
Exactly. Because of Pokémon S&V are we expecting Zelda 2 to look like shit? Nope! Because 1st party Nintendo wouldn't make stuff that shitty. GF are definitely the problem here.
Gotta use all those assets somehow.
Right there with you. In my 20s this MAY have been fine for me. But even then, having that huge catalog probably would've been unnecessary. And now I'm approaching 40 with kids, and I struggle to find time to sit down and play.
I've actually dedicated a lot more time in the last few months to my Switch. Because it's so easy to pick up and play in short bursts. Some being the big name games from Nintendo. But I've also just been finding little hidden gem...
Yea. It's a welcome change. Nothing was more annoying than being forced to battle a trainer with multiple of the same Pokémon. I think it was Brilliant Diamond where I fought a trainer with 4 or 5 Magikarps. What a waste of time.
If only this update came out a little sooner. It could've saved the whole service.
Ahhh. There you are EA. Thought we lost you for a minute.
Hopefully it's just cosmetics.
I mean, there is a HUGE library of great games to play. I've actually been playing my Switch more this year than anything. And I still have a nice size backlog to get through. But I will say, that Pokemon was a big wake up call to the age and limitations of the system. Granted, a lot of that was due to Game Freak's incompetence. But it does spark a little bit of worry about the new Zelda and if it have any issues. And seeing recent ports like Mortal Shell, and it being borderline unpl...
