$399 for a portable theater size screen that you can move around to any room due to the portability of the PS4.
$399 to play all your current games, stream all your current video contents, and possibly watch 3D movies on a movie theater sized screen from your PS4.
The above itself is worth more than $399 and more than enough reason to get a PSVR for many people, and you even don't need a Playstation Camera for these features.
$50 more for...
It also works with every existing game and be able view everything you can view on PS4. It's a $399 portable movie theater screen.
Any game would be great. PSVR is basically a portable movie theater screen for $399. Totally worth it by itself. Remember PS4 it self is highly portable, so this basically means you can easily move a huge movie theater screen with you to any room you want.
People argue about including the camera, theater mode is the reason why camera is not needed for every PSVR, and also why it'll also appeal to someone who doesn't care for VR (though I say those kinda people are cr...
@Death
PSVR is BETTER than Occulus and HTC Vive for the fact that every PSVR is a portable Gigantic Movie Screen that you can bring around with you to any room due to the machine it hooks up to is a SUPER PORTABLE PS4.
It is worth it as a monitor alone, even without any VR features. Play all the games you have and watch everything you can watch on PS4 anywhere with a power source. On your bed, on the can, bring it to shut your whiny kid up who doesn't want to be w...
@KwietStorm
It also works for watching movies and many people are fine with just that.
The product is already finalized anyway, they are waiting for a strong software line-up.
But from the comments here many people are ready to buy it if Sony release this tomorrow anyway, I know I want one ASAP.
Anybody down talking PSVR is simply just afraid of it being the competitor of whatever other platform they play on.
Why wait til October... it might be all sold out and be short in supply due to Xmas.
Hope they have some sort of special program to basically sell it to people who can't wait or something.
The demos are working now so I'm fine w/ just those right now. So many games releasing at once, I would want to buy them all but there's definitely no time to play them all and will hurt the sales...
Anyway just release it earlier.
Microsoft entered the console market to sway development and home usage toward a windows environment from the very beginning anyway.
While other companies try to actually make something good and move technology forward for all, Microsoft doesn't give a damn about what benefits consumers, they only care about winning the market so they can forcefully screw the consumer to pay up once they dominate.
Too bad short sighted people can never understand that... ...
Yeah all people with these sob stories about SFV doesn't even own the game.
The servers are sorted out on Tuesday and then one more down time in the morning and that's it. Great online & getting so many matches.
Everything is running smoothly more than any other multiplayer game on launch.
Why does it get so much heat and hate? Well let's just say people who own the "other" system don't have games to play and nothing else to do th...
The servers are already working and running smooth. Pretty good for a game this popular and technically only the first day.
PSVR support please
This is pretty much just political bullying and defamation more than anything. The same thing that the UN has always done...
It's too bad Kojima even associates himself with this one hit wonder hack...
No old logitec wheel support made me not buy this game. I'll consider if PSVR is going to be supported.
If PSVR is affordable, people will make PSVR compatible w/ PCs anyway.
I think it'd be interesting if NX turned out to be a VR machine at $299
That presentation was for developers by the tech guys to give them an idea of what could be done.
I'll be happy with a $399 price tag, but come on Sony $349 and hit it out of the ball park.
PS4 and then WiiU as a second system.
The biggest part that caught my eye in this story was Brian Crecente at Polygon. From one crap hole like Kotaku to another...
It's different. Microsoft disbands Lionhead and left them with nothing. Sony is disbanding Evolution only to move the people to other teams with actual projects going on.
