Next there will be an embargo for talking about the embargo for talking about the embargo.
Fallout 4 will show which critics want clicks. (Like every big release) 10s or 7s
Make games for other consoles. Make everyone happy. That way we don't have to fork out for a failing console with no 3rd party support and a stupid controller.
Only if you're stupid enough to watch and read them.
I wonder how many of these will simply be tech demos like launch titles often are. I think the intrigue of just wondering how they will feel to play will be taken advantage of with some very shallow gameplay experiences. One thing I worry about with VR is the actual on-rails games. Not ones with just linear gameplay but ones in which you do not control any movement except looking 360 and possibly shooting. I've played a few (free) Oculus and Gear VR games which demonstrate this. I'm j...
What a surprise, people don't go crazy for linear FPS sci fi games any more. Times move on. The genre was nauseatingly saturated last generation and despite how polished and refined it is, it's still the same old premise.
True but that is still only 4 games that are similar. We just got through a whole generation of Halo clones. The genre has been well and truly saturated.
Macxb1 Sure. Why not?
Macxb1 I think all are equally sensitive subjects as is the Holocaust and Vietnam and many other human atrocities. I just think people should have some perspective and realise that games are often centred around things that some people don't want to relive and which case they should avoid playing the games rather than trying to ensure they are not made. I would like to play this because I find it fascinating. Not because I think it is funny or I like to see innocent people getting killed ...
It's only offensive when Americans die. The rest of the world aren't important.
Star Wars lives on however crappy the films get. Episode 1+2 are some of the worst films I have ever seen and still Star Wars never dies. It seems to grow stronger all the time.
Radio 1 is like an out of touch dad having a midlife crisis and trying desperately to relate to his estranged children.
Let's just agree it's been a damn good year for games, and we've still got Fallout 4 to come.
Best give Sony a call.
'Hey Sony. Forget selling more than the other 2 consoles combined, some voting app says you lose.'
Sony: Can't argue with that. Hey boys, we're shutting down business.
Honestly what do people expect? Next gen graphics and experience, rising production costs yet still expect everything to be dirt cheap forever. Do people not understand how money works?
Games used to be £60 when I was a kid in the early 90s. With inflation that works out waaaay more expensive than it is now. They also used to be a lot cheaper to make - like 100x cheaper to make. They also used to be a lot smaller and took much less time to finish. Plus there was no onlin...
Ubisoft need to learn how to make things fun.
Sega never had Mario, Zelda, Metroid, DK, Kirby etc. To fall back on. I love Nintendo games I just hope this time they make a proper console with no bullshit.
I put 300+ hours into some games, effortlessly, whereas others just seem like a chore to finish. I think it's because I like games I can play in small chunks. Many games get repetitive towards the end. They know they are being judged on their length so they throw in more of the same to keep your hours-count rising. I remember Outlast was intense for the first 2 hours, and then they really dragged it out, sending you on ridiculous detours around a building that you easily walk through in m...
Ubisoft make games that look good in trailers.
I'm selling my PS4 now.
Can't be waiting around an extra 1.5 seconds to get to check my messages......not that I have had any messages on my PS4 yet...but I'm sure I will get some if I get an X1
