ps3 games? Sorry, not even close. ps1/2, sure.
ps3 architecture is not at all like a PC/the ps4... seen any ps3 emulators for PC? Ones that actually work? Not going to happen for a very long time and not on the kinds of hardware PCs are built from today.
@jack, so does Mary also need a live subscription as well as Bob? that's the part I'm still unsure about.
@jimbob If you knew anything about the ps3's esoteric hardware and how it compares to the ps4 (ie, hardly at all) you'd know they would have practically had to include a ps3 in the unit as well. If you need proof, take a look at how fantastic ps3 emulation is on PCs... oh right.
Personally never seen the problem with keeping your hardware and your games... and... well... there's absolutely zero added latency playing my ps3 games on my ps3, it doesn't need any ...
In hindsight is was probably not the best idea to give out the 6v6 information without fleshing out how the game will work and what part the other elements will play.
They say all publicity is good publicity, but I'm not so sure, titanfall has been hyped into the stratosphere already, there's only one way to go from there. Brought it on themselves. Hopefully their game lives up to it and doesn't only appeal to a limited amount of multiplayer FPS fans.
Why are so many people calling this a "next gen" game? It was designed and targeted to ps360, it's coming out on the 360. It won't be gimped, it'll be exactly the same game with less pleasing visuals. It might even offer a better experience on 360 as the online component to that system is rock solid, which is unfortunately more than can be said for the current xbox one experience.

80m... smh. Even a dev friend of mine said the same kinds of things until recently, but it's far from spot on. By the time Destiny drops, many millions of last gen users will have moved on and they're the kinds of people with the disposable income to afford to shell out for new games on day one at a premium.
There are already around 7m new gen console owners, possibly even more, not 3-4 million (even xbox one sold 3m last year on its own in only 13 countries).

The game should be a budget release. It's not in any way a next level game, just exactly the same with more shiny... digital only and a $30/£20/Eur25 price tag. I'll pick it up for that when it bombs a few weeks after release.

If anyone witnessed the recent huge amazon stock of ps4 vanishing before their eyes (there was a regular ~3minute stock check as each SKU was in the last 999 units on GAF, with accompanying graphical analysis :P) you'll see the demand for ps4 is huge. @mikeslemonade If you don't have your ps3 handy, just use the SEN website and add the stuff to your basket there.
@thereapersson Set your trophies to "offline" when you want to play and have them sync over night or when you're do it while you're busy with something else around the house.
@Lukas ...and driveclub is also "next gen" in that it's attempting to do more than just be another iteration of a previous gen title... it's not just more of the same, it's doing things we've not seen before on console and that's why so many people are excited for it.
