Yeah, God of War's combat is so damn boring, that I played and enjoyed the crap out of all the games in the series.
Lmao, I don't know what this author is about. Maybe the combat on this new entry is even better, who knows, but that won't retroactively make the combat in the older games bad.
To be honest, I got No Man's Sky at launch and loved it despite all the unfavorable reviews. Its experience was soothing, relaxing... sort of like a Zen-feeling game, lol.
And now NMS is a completely different beast than it was at launch. Its big updates have turned it into an actually pretty good game according to a lot of people (I haven't tried it out, though). Maybe Sea of Thieves can also become much better if Rare keeps updating and adding stuff to it?
If I don't consider a game great, I wouldn't dump 190 hours into it. But carry on, you be you, you.
I own and play PS4, PC, Switch and Wii U.
Last gen I had PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. I play a pretty varied list of games.
And I think Zelda BOTW and Mario Odyssey are stunning games. If they aren't your cup of tea, it's fine, but to call them "overrated" implies your opinion is right and everyone else is wrong. That's absurd.
As for the performance issues in BOTW (because as far as I know, Odyssey runs flawlessly): The...
HOLY CRAP THIS LOOKS LIKE MOTORSTORM <3 <3 <3
How did this game manage to fly under my radar?
Day one! :D
People are so defensive that they hit the disagree button just because I asked a question. Lol, guys. I wasn't implying anything negative here, honestly.
What makes you think so?
Have you played Smash Bros since the Wii era at least?
Solid Snake and Sonic were in Brawl (Wii).
Pac-Man, Sonic, Mega Man, Bayonetta, Ryu (Street Fighter) and Cloud (from Final Fantasy) were in Smash Bros for Wii U / 3DS.
Travis Strikes Again, Mario Tennis and Kirby.
And maybe Smash Bros.
@Neonridr
My kid is 3.5 years old and he understands pretty well what he's seeing when he plays Switch / Wii U / 3DS games.
You're seriously underestimating little kids here.
Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. While I'm mainly a Nintendo gamer, Bloodborne is my favorite game of all that I've played this generation if we don't count Wii U games. (If we did, then Wonderful 101 would be my personal #1, Bloodborne #2).
Dude, you can't be serious, or you are way too young. If the Switch is the best Nintendo console ever, it would make it better than the SNES... which is pretty easy to make a point for it being the best home console ever made, what with the brutal third party support it got on top of all the Nintendo goodness.
(I don't think the Switch is the best Nintendo console, BTW. It's pretty damn good for sure, but it's still way too early to make a proper judgment). ...
This is an aligned comparison. It's comparing each console's sales in their respective first 11 months in the market.
The Xbox One X has nothing to do with this discussion.
So I guess you must hate PC gaming too, uh? You know, Steam and all that.
I think you misunderstood this article. It's not comparing last year's sales for both systems, it's comparing the sales of both systems in their first 11 months in the market respectively.
PS4 actually sold more units than Switch in 2017, but that's another matter entirely.
Didn't stop them from calling their third console the Xbox One. Hence the joke.
In my experience, frame rates in games have been more stable across the board this gen than last. So, I disagree.
Nice! I'll get Andromeda then. :)
Same here. I haven't bought any of the Wii U ports for Switch because I don't feel like paying full price for games that I've played relatively recently (past 5 years).
However, for those people that never played those, go for it! Bayo 1 + 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the upcoming Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze are all awesome. :)
That's my sentiment as well. I played all the games in the series, and by the time I played Ascension, franchise fatigue had already started to set in, so I didn't enjoy that game as much as the others (although I still enjoyed it a lot, mind you, especially the final third part of the game).
All the changes on this new entry, to me, seem like the right call. Change in setting, change in camera mode, change in combat, and change in game world design (apparently it i...
