Live is the only "real" online gaming network, home is still just talk. Live has free demo's and I mean well over a hundred, as well as Movies, Tv shows etc... and these number in the hundreds too. Instant messaging not including the new instant messenger controller that's soon arriving. Xbox Live also has timely free TV shows including special episodes of South park, and others. So yeah, Xbox Live is 49.00 a year, well I'd easily pay alot more than that for it also your paying alot...
Either way, it's not going to sit on any shelf in any store, you can bet on that. These will sell as if there free.

Obviously that's not the controller that comes in the special Halo 3 edition, that's just an OTC version. The special edition is that Army Green that they used, to be honest it looks good, but I'd rather seen the more original halo colors used. Master Chiefs grayish whatever or even white and that "neon purple" used. That would of been cool.

Excitement level, 8-10 min. max, much like yourself there sony from the look of things.
The technical glitches it has can be fixed via/an xboxlive download, so not a problem, "unless", they don't intend to fix them.
But the Wireless Xbox 360 controller is the best in the business, damn, I love that controller and it's fantastic "rumble".

Digital distrobution is a definate plus, also if HD-DVD wins, I'm sure the ability to watch the movie and go on line simultainiously is a definate plus in TV/VIDEO.
IPTV has the most short term promise, more Xbox360/PC game playing, there's no end to what the imagination can come up with here.
Friendly partnerships bring about a healthy "LIVE" for all gamers.
I've lost faith, I think there's toooo many ps3 inherent problems for Kojima to contend with so he's continually waiting to find a way to make the game smooth w/o all the bottlenecking again.

I'm pretty sure that's true, and sounds right too. I mean it's been a long tough road and it's still slow to go on MGS4, and in no way do they want a LAIR type catastrophy, so I'd say no here unless a 2009 release date is in the works.
A demo slows or shuts down forward progress to an extent, but it also does aleviate any potential out of the box problems.
I'd say do the demo and put off the realease until most all bugs are worked out.
