Its no real surprise that reviews are influenced by money. The site owners be it Gamespot CNet or anyone else are human and humans are very succeptible to greed. I would call it the primary driving force of all mankind.

I therefore take EVERY review I read with a pinch of salt.

I pretty much agree. We second class customers kind of got off lucky here. Its not so bad being ignored by Sony when the goods are faulty in the first place.

Now get it fixed and pop it over the pond damn you *shakes fist*

Oh and before I forget... Might be prudent for the developers to read up on a thing called "beta testing".

I will stick with Creed for the time being. I was only interested in adding Pain to my collection but it looks like my second class customer status does not permit that.

I have downloaded the UK Pain Video (that is what it is called) it is nothing more than the edited highlights of all the other Pain trailers that are out there. Nothing special nothing new.

Is Pain limited to the US PSN? I dont see it on there and all we have on the EU PSN is a trailer. I dont need a damn trailer I have seen every trailer that has been released for Pain.

Looks like the loyal customers of the EU are being considered "second class customers" AGAIN.

At any point was it mentioned that the EU release of Pain would be later than the US? If so I missed it.

Other than Folding (which I dislike as it could increase human overpopulation) that article is pretty much on the ball.

I wonder why they could not put all 10 on one webpage though. Is broadband rare in Australia perhaps?

I get the feeling that the beta testers did not find any freezes either because they were crap testers or there were no testers at all.

I have only had one freeze so far but one is enough.

Also enjoying the AC experience. Agreed the research missions are all identical apart from the locations. The fights are easy once you get the hang of it and so far I have had just 3 technical issues. 1 crash, 1 stuck inside an enclosed balcony, 1 loading screen of eternity.

Overall I like the game a lot but I really hope they iron out some of the creases for the sequel(s).

I have been saying much the same as this article since the new formats were released. The players cost A HELL OF A LOT MORE THAN DVD, so do the disks.

The difference in quality is not that hot. Its nice that you can squeeze more on a disk but not that much more.

My PS3 can play Blu Ray and it looks nice. I have 2 blu ray movies and both were free. Given the option I would always purchase the DVD unless the price for both formats was pretty similar.

There should be a warning about the download at work thing. Some employers are hostile about misuse of their bandwidth and keep an eye out for large downloads.

I turned off the noticeboard the day it was included in the update. Therefore I have not used it since that day.

So far AC has frozen once when I was riding the horse.

I also had a slight problem when I was shot with an arrow when climbing the side of a building in Jursalem, the knockback pushed me into the building and I was stuck inside a balcony and had to end the game.

Doesn't this question get asked at least once a week?

Answer: Not until it works out at better value for money than good old DVD.

At present it is not worth the trouble as the image quality is not that much better than DVD.

I just registered in order to take a look and it is not all that funny and hardly all that insulting. Juvenile perhaps. Nicely drawn tho.

Ubisoft made a slightly faulty game, they are not the first.
Pretty lady helps bring attention to a product, again not a first.
Kids on the internet say innapropiate things, surely not.
Large companies lack a sense or humour, no $h*t!
Lawyers are happy when the above happen, honest.

Nothing new here.

So far one Freeze and had to restart the PS3, this is the first time this has happened on the PS3 since I got it in march and I have used it daily without fault. This is out of about 6 hours of Assasins Creed so not to terrible.

As an experienced beta tester I do have to wonder how much testing went into this game prior to release. Very little I would imagine and lets face it Console games are MUCH easier to beta test than PC games due to the console hardware and OS consistan...

This is either a wind-up or we have some junkie who is too out of it to consider maintaining valuable electronics. I am hardly a tidy person and there is no doubt my home is fairly dusty but even leaving my PS3 undusted for months would not accumulate half that that much dust.

As for not repairing it stating dust is a hazard... WTF? There are dust masks in shops for this very purpose and they only cost a few pounds for High quality '3M' branded ones. I use them regularly whe...

How can DIVX support increase the liklihood of illegal vids when there are plenty of software options for converting video from one format to another such as PS3-Video9? Thus any video format can be considered PS3-able however direct support saves a shedload of time and trouble.

DIVX, the sooner the better :o) Well done Sony & DIVX.inc

I can't believe that anyone believed that standard household dust could invalidate a warranty. Next they will claim that your warranty is void if you live more than 200m above sea level or if you own a ferret called Dave.
