I never noticed an issue with 3.0 nonetheless the fact that Sony have responded quickly is refreshing
21/20 is the same score I gave to the original.
So no improvements then ...... Sigh!
I have very rarely noticed mine get noisy.
Its a 60gb model (no fan test option) it is vertical and in an area with good airflow. Had it from day 1 of UK release with no issues other than sticky screws when changing the hard drive which was easy enough to solve.
Seems odd to release a demo for a game that must be over a year old now
I have had no issues whatsoever with the 3.0 firmware.
I never pay too much attention to reviews preferring the opinions of the few people I trust.
My own opinions of the game:
1: It fits well within the Batman story-lines of recent
2: It feels like a Batman game in respect of the mood and the well written story.
3: Its bloody good fun which is the most important bit.
Wonder who will be ahead after the next upgrade?
I got rid of all my PS2 stuff (gave it to a friend) the day before I obtained my PS3 on release day. Lets look forward not backwards and if you really like game nostalgia get an Amiga 500 or 48k Specy.
I say skip the backwards compatibility if it provides scope for new thinking and products.
Killing in games has been happening since the early days of gaming. That is usually considered a more serious crime. Give the games an 18 cert (or perhaps have a new 21 cert) rather than ban anything creative regardless of how sick it is.
Booked mine from play.com the day the offer came out.
This is nothing new if you have an external hard drive with 110gb of the stuff
I am really looking forward to this
I was in the beta and when that stopped a few months back I didnt think it was even close to release. Cant see how the money would magically make it ready unless they got the Asgard to help with programming.
They didnt even have a invert mouse Y axis implemented as far as I recall.
Sad to say it but I dont think SGW will see the light of day.
If you go a little cross eyed the image becomes 3D now and then - you also get eyestrain very quickly
L4D2 is DLC albeit rather expensive standalone DLC.
And if the person stating the unoriginal spitting idea put it on a forum then they cannot complain if someone uses it particularly if it is the body that owns the forum where the idea was placed.
I thought the recent Iron Man console game was awful. Hulk ones were better. I hated the first Iron Man game so much that I probably wont even give the sequel a thought. Odd really as in contrast the Iron Man movie was much MUCH better than the Hulk ones.
If the age rating of the game is set appropriately then I see no probs with this. There is more than enough of that sort of think on TV/DVD/Internet/Daydreaming
Indeed InFamous has a Trophy reward system. Got the plat for it about a month ago. Although not sure if the poster above means some kind of award within HOME rather than Trophies
I think this would work better on PC than console. KB + mouse + RE5 may be worth a shot.
As for PC being on its last legs... Nope I think not. I can see the PC game market going to DL only but it still remains strong especially for MMORPGS & FPS.
The single player is the best I have played anywhere anytime (having been gaming since the Atari 2600). Its an interactive movie that works
Multiplayer is not to my tastes due to the console controller. Would prefer a PC version for that and L4D / HL2DM / BF2142 already rule that roost.
