Now correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that HD-DVD player for 99 dollars just a one day thing? If not, just let me know, but people are commenting on this HD-DVD player as if 99 dollars is the regular price going forward.
Is a very good game. PS3 fans don't need to keep defending the title. It speaks for itself. It's been a very popular franchise released by very capable developers. -truth
The two biggest gaming sites for averaging reviews are gamerankings and metacritic.
Regarding ratchet and clank...
Gamerankings = 91%
Metacritic = 89%
It's really up to you which site you go with, but if you average the sites together, Ratchet is 90% overall.
I think uncharted will be in the 90th percentile as well. I say that because of all the positive previews I've read, and all the great gameplay videos I've already seen.
Padre and almighty
That seems weird to me because Xbox 360 has had some nice looking titles. I haven't been following this game extensively so I cannot say anything with absolute certainty.
Everyone knows this game is going to look better than those screens. I mean seriously, unless the developers only worked once a week for a year or two (which I am sure they didn't) those screens are just not portraying the game right.
Wii games look better than that, and everyone knows (PS3 fan or not) the Xbox 360 is capable of much better graphics than what those screens are showing . . . so calm down.
By the way, I am a PS3 fan, NOT a PS3 fanboy. I think that...
You should spend less time trying to tarnish ratchet and clank, and more time searching for a life. It's just a suggestion man.
By the way, having more than one account is not allowed. Most people only need one account because people can actually stand to read their posts. You're an exception.
But I've never played Metal Arms. Ratchet is hard to explain because it has platforming elements and shooter elements. If you take one part jak and daxter, one part mario, one part resistance, and one part donkey kong (like N64 days), you get ratchet and clank.
If you like a lot of colors, shooting, futuristic and fantasy type settings, jumping, gliding, and things of that nature, you will love ratchet. One fun part about the game is the ability to continuously upgrade your wea...
Play the game. I've been a ratchet and clank fan, but the demo didn't have me completely convinced (though it looked stellar). However, after the second level, I agreed this game was everything it's been cracked up to be. Hype? This game was not overly hyped at all. People were talking up uncharted and heavenly sword more so than ratchet, but ratchet has delivered. Note: I believe uncharted will as well.
By the way, if you don't enjoy platformer/ratchet and clank style games, t...
But there are other reviews that haven't been posted, and they may very well be in the 90 range. It's really hard to tell at this point, but there have been enough 90+ reviews to consider this a great game no matter how you spin metacritic or whatever.
the average is actually at 90. Check again, it changed from yesterday.
Isn't EGM a magazine/publication with different reviewers regardless of ownership? Anyway, I don't know, but if you look on metacritic it says 90 for EGM and 85 for 1up so stop arguing with me. I can't help what it says, so stop disputing something so blatantly obvious. Take it up with metacritic. There are obviously two different reviews for 1up and EGM. This isn't rocket science.
Yeah, I understand what you're saying.
Nonetheless, I got the game, and I enjoy it. I suppose that's all that matters . . . to me at least.
90 Electronic Gaming Monthly
If you scroll down metacritic, you will see that they gave it a 90. I figured you would know that, being that you are so informeed and all.
Oh, we face it, and could care less. You are the one who cares, and you are not even a sony fan. Imagine that...sort of weird, don't ya think?
Padre, this is from Electronic gaming monthly:
"Not only is Future a great game, it's the best yet on PS3, arguably the best-looking game ever, and an absolute pinnacle of fun. [Dec 2007, p.112] "
Sure sounds like a heap of sh*t to me.
So are all platformers kids' games? Is mario a kids' game? I have yet to figure out why this is a kid's game. I definitely see how it can appeal to a younger audience, but I don't see why that means it should be labeled a kids' game. After all, many older people play it.
It seems like people are just getting into way too much blood and gore, and forget that games don't need to show lifelike violence to be considered 'for an adult'. Ratchet is one of those "every person&qu...
A B is always (using 100 point scale) between 80 and 89. I learned that in grade school. I am not sure what metacritic was thinking on that one.
Actually the B grading scale goes even further:
B+ is 87-89
B is 84-86
B- is 80-83
75 out of 100 is a C. I think metacritic is on crack.
Hell, let's just put all the cards on the table:
Sample 1
A 94-100
A- 90-93
B+ 87-89
B 84-86
The developers have stated that there would be no multi-player since the beginning of development, but the reveiwers speak of the feature as if it were mysteriously missing.
Since other ratchet games have had multi-player, I sort of understand what they are saying; however, it should not be a negative. Games should not be reveiwed for things that were never in the playbook. Multi-player was never in the formula for Rachet's new adventure, just like bioshock and others. And be...
lol...agreed.
sounds pretty close to the whole power surge voided my warranty thing. Which, if you rememeber, Sony stated that they are actually not voiding warranties for customers using Power Surges. Anyway, if this turns out to be true (who knows), I would love to see those pictures that are now "Property of SCEA." To void a warranty by means of dust . . . you would think the thing would have to look like an animal with grey (gray) fur.
I just read the entire article, and it's a...
