Going to be honest... if its a NEW pokemon game for the switch (NOT a port of one I've already played or one full of mini games or other type of offshoot from the series) it would make me want to buy a switch.

Once you get to a certain point in the game you can choose to change the appearance of the character you are controlling. You buy these skins using points you accumulate in the game. It changes the appearance in the single player game BUT you will only see your character as the original protagonist in cut-scenes.

Nice! I've been waiting for base building to be added before jumping back into this game.

There's lots of hate for this game but I bought it day one and really enjoyed it. But hey, that's me. The only thing I really wished it had was the ability to make a 'Home' and it looks like now I can. :)

It's kind of funny that the game they chose for the article's picture (Stardew Valley) is actually going to be getting an update eventually that will add multiplayer capabilities.

Anyway, didn't read the article but I've had lots of great experiences playing both indie and higher budget SP games. Stardew Valley is a great one by the way. :)

I'm personally passing simply for the potential motion-sickness factor. I can get motion sick from playing certain normal first-person-perspective games on a TV... I'm a little leery of how VR will affect me.

If I knew FOR SURE that it wouldn't cause me to feel ill I would jump in and buy it day one, but because of my personal tendency toward motion-sickness I'd like to try it first (at length) before deciding.

I think you're right about the first part being all about the initial Midgar portion of the game. It would seem appropriate for it to end with Cloud emerging into the actual open world.

The Midgar part is huge so I think it would make for a lengthy game itself, but to be honest, it's the part of the original I disliked the most. The game only got really good for me once it opened up after Midgar. But hey, that's just me.

"Moving Red Robin around with the D-pad is a massive pain, and it only gets worse when you get sucked into a battle — when, as you'll quickly discover, there's no way of instantly turning to face your attacker, because why would you want to do that? Instead you get to fiddle with unresponsive controls and flail helplessly as enemies pound away at you, and it only ends when your familiars or party members are able to kill the monsters themselves."

What? Movin...

I'm guessing it won't recognize a variant spelling that's not on the list since there are actually a bunch of names with alternate spellings specified on the list.

Kinda sucks because my name is there, but it's not the way I spell it. I think it would bug me if I spelled it another way just to hear Cogsworth say it. :P

I agree.

I just gave the pip-boy app a quick try and I think it's great. So what I've decided to do is take one of my armband iphone holders (originally intended for listening to music while running) and I'm going to strap it to my forearm and make my own little make-shift pip-boy for my gaming marathon, lol.

So dorky, I know, but I can't wait. :P

I agree that Nolan North would be a great choice. However, it just won't happen. Hollywood is all about NAMES. Which actor with the most recognizable name can they get that will put butts in movie theatre seats. That's pretty much how casting works for most Hollywood movies out there.

There are exceptions, sure, but with a game-to-film franchise this is pretty much how it ends up being.

They need to sell tickets and I'm pretty sure the majority of...

Yeah, when I think 'a Post Apocalyptic Skyrim' I think Fallout 3/NV/4.

I *just* saw a preview for Mr. Robot today and I was like "Oh my god it's Josh!" lol.

Don't you mean you're having a HELLA time trying to get through Life is Strange? ;)

Yeah, some of the slang alone is just painful to get through in that game. But hey, the story is decent.

Gotta disagree because I would miss them.

I enjoy the extra challenge to find them but I won't obsess over missing any of them. That's kind of crazy.

It's an excuse to re-visit a game if I really like it (after finishing the story), and it's optional so those who don't care about them can just ignore them.

Black Flag comes to mind as an example; I haven't done everything but I like going back every now and then to f...

Completely agree. I actually found I was a little put-off by the lack of a storage system; I want to be able to horde everything JUST-IN-CASE.

It's an odd compulsion, I know this, but at least I only feel this way when playing games and not in real-life.

My ridiculously huge backlog of games has caused me to seriously re-think buying games at full price anymore.

The only time I do now is if it is a very niche game and I want to support the localization of it, or I want to support a particular team of developers.

Otherwise I watch sales and buy a game when it's down to a price I'd be happy to spend.

Very well-written thoughts on the subject you have here.

What I took away from the Pre-Sequel was that the 'goodness' or 'badness' of any given event or individual behavior can be all a matter of perception.

Someone can be doing something because they genuinely believe it to be the 'right thing' while someone else sees it completely the opposite and feels that person's actions are wrong. Jack thinks, at some points, what he's d...

Haha, I think it's great how they sought out scenes in F3 that were similar to the ones in the F4 trailer... like the dog next to a Nuka-cola machine. :)

If this leak is to be believed then it may be October of this year:

I'm in doubt, but I am really curious just how much of this info (posted about 11 months ago) will pan out.
