It comes down to responsibility. These parents who are 'concerned' and moaning about violent games simply don't want to take direct responsibility for their chilren; they would prefer to kick up a fuss and try to get the games banned outright. That way somebody else takes the responsibility for depriving 'little Johnny' of his blood-fix.
As others are saying here, they should just refuse to let the child have the game if they feel it's unsuitable for that child...
What's his tv got to do with it? He's using the same one to compare between UC2 and UC3, so any effect from the tv cancels out.
The lag is clearly visible in UC3 on his system.
There is obviously more to this story than the journalists cared to share with us. Maybe even a 'history' between the kid and the guy? I can't believe the kid would tell him what address he was at unless he knew him already.
Yeah, I see that now. alikazimrazamerchant's reply didn't help to clarify the matter, though!
One of the great things about BFBC2 was hearing that eerie squeaky noises around you as the building you're in begins to collapse and you need to get the hell out of there. Who cares about breakable doors and windows? I hardly thing DICE are gonna remove the best aspect of Frostbite's destructible support. If they do it will be a sad loss.

Read where it says 'It will also feature enhanced in-game destruction with Destruction 3.0'. So by 'enhanced', they mean 'less'?
"..but destruction is likely to be no more than doors, barrels, and glass". Eh? The original Frostbite has collapsable buildings, but you don't think Frostbite2 will? Seems illogical to me.
Actually, I considered to possibility that it was just satire, but then I decided that since it wasn't funny it must be for real. Unfortunately for you, there ARE people with just these types of opinion about history, using their brains etc, so if you are trying for satire you didn't go far enough into the absurd.
Well, you are entitled to your opinion. I am entitled not to read it.
More than 'a few' I think.
And yet, looking at the exclusives which have been written for the PS3, something must be right about the PS3 dev-kit.
It's probably acting as a proxy at first, so the PS3 initiates the download (using its authentication) through the proxy. After that, the PC does the grunt work of downloading the full game to its hard-drive with the PS3 doing nothing, or even turned off. Then, when the download is complete, the PS3 gets the download direct from your PC quickly over your local network. (I'm just surmising here, but I've wondered for a while if this technique would ever be attempted).
You are damaged!
Retrofit? As, erm ..... like, in a firmware update?
There is probably an email address for your local PSN customer support in your regions announcement on Sony's site. The one you should use if you're are having trouble with the password change. Like you are. I'm sure they realise that a proportion of users will not have their original PS3s and will not have a valid email address linked to their account.
Dunno why you are getting disagrees. You are totally correct about Uncharted 2 MP updates. So annoying, they take forever.
No, they're talking May 31st for FULL SERVICE restoration. Parts of PSN could well be up before then.
(Edit: .. and "YES", I am trying to convince myself of this.)
@M-Easy. I bet all the developers who sell games via PSN are not saying "ah well, it's ONLY been x weeks now". They must be losing tonnes of revenue every day. They have sales targets to meet and this has gotta be hurting them.
Sorry, but check out the last paragraph here .. http://blog.eu.playstation....
Agreed. But the books have existed for many, many years (they are fantastic IMO), so interest in Martin's 'Ice and Fire' world has been simmering nicely long before the show.
