I mean, they should be siding with us because even though the game is on their console... it's region locked so only JP console owners can play it. I don't know about you or any of these fanboys but I rather have a game I love on a console I hate than not be able to play it at all (Because all other new consoles have no region lock)

This should've remained a multi platform game because all Nintendo is doing is costing them money. If Nintendo made a special version using the Wii-U Controller then it would still make the best experience on the Nintendo Wii U regardless if it was released here or not. It didn't need full exclusive rights if they weren't even going to fully utilize the rights and also localize the game like when FF was on Xbox & Playstation.

I believe them. They used Adhoc for the Multiplayer in the PSP version. They would have had to revamp the way the multiplayer worked which would mean more development time as well as more testing. Changing from Adhoc (which is local PSP to PSP wireless multiplayer for those who don't know) would be had to change to a single console local multiplayer or even harder if they made it a Network feature because that would be something entirely new to work on.

Think of it this way. They can do internal testing and find all the bugs they can find themselves. Then when the game comes out free to play you would have to deal with the bugs left over and then once they are discovered they'd be patched still without paying you.
