idk. This doesn't look much better than Collin Mcrae 2005 on the PSP. Graphics are slightly better, but much less content. Shame.
It could help gaming in a lot of things other then menus too. Just think about a game like Skyrim. With touch controls, you can grab items in the world without having to aim a cursor at it. Needless to say inventory browsing would be infinitely more efficient. Devs just need to be a little more imaginative.
exactly which is why i'm only gettin it on the Vita. Same game across 2 platforms right? More value if you can carry it around with you.
I have a Vita too and I love it to bits, but the reality of the situation is this: devs making games for the Vita, at least for now, tend to run their games in sub-native resolution. Sure it looks tolerable on the Vita screen considering the Vita's tight pixel density, but if games run at Vita's native resolution, they'd look so much better.
I'd say that although these screenshots probably aren't representative, it does show that the game runs at a lower resolution than the Vita screen. The press images were in fact bullshots, taken with resolutions at the Vita's native resolution plus antialiasing. It'll look better when shrunk back to Vita's screen size, but in terms of resolution, it is what it is.
There's much more to graphics than just shadows and textures. Things like depth of field, ambient occlusion, dynamic lighting, reflections, anti-aliasing, physics, post processing effects add a lot to graphical fidelity.
Its a shame Americans don't watch european motorsports, which is far more interesting than the American counterparts of going in a circle for 70 laps imo. If european motorsports were more popular here we'd get all these cool games too.
Well if it's the same as LBP2 but with more features wouldn't that make it better than LBP2?
Except in CoD2 there were female soldiers on the Soviet faction. Communism encourages gender equality.
Nah. I'd rather have the focus more on features and games that make it its own console rather than just it being a compliment to the PS3.
I don't know if its just me but, if its the same game across the consoles I see more value in the version that I can take around with me.
It can't hurt having both. And the article isn't telling everyone to port over games from home consoels to the Vita.
A shame that "the best" has to be this.
Because when graphic fidelity is past a certain point, people stop caring as much.
Because other games on the Vita pushed the standards for the system up, that couple with the fact that its common believe that Nihilistic doesn't have much of a tendency to even hit the standard.
My wallets needs a break too. Games need to start actually value at $50.
LBP not impressive? It looks just as good as the PS3 version. What do you want from the Vita? PS4 graphics?
^Just realized the typo. I meant "curve" lol!
@darthv72
Thing is, there really isn't a cure to stay ahead of in terms of PC gaming. Most games these days are multiplats ported over from the consoles. $40 for an HD4850 or a 9800GT or such will let you play these games maxed out no problem, or at least a couple of notches ahead of the graphics settings the consoles would use.
Isn't this the map from AC2? in that case it would be Renaissance, not Middle Ages.
