Two sides of the same coin, as far as design goes, I am almost always happy with the way the devs set their game up. Seems to be people want most their games to be similar to games they are already adept at.
I think that 90% of the time people complain because they get owned and can not 'get used' to the controls, they cannot adapt.
Because why would you complain if you are good at the game and are doing well?

This is speculation but RAGE probably wont have the huge environments of Fallout or Skyrim.
It'll be a 'corridor open world' fps I think. Still can't be sure as you say, until both games come out. I can't wait to max skyrim..
Killzone is a strange one, I remember on KZ2 there were an overwhelming amount of people complaining about the weighted controls, I personally liked them (along with others) but since the game worked for us we didn't complain or voice our opinions. Fast forward to KZ3 and it's no surprise that GG changed the controls and reduced the dead zone, increasing responsiveness. Now loads of people are complaining about that, It makes me wonder, were there this many people that liked the contr...
The funny thing is that for an open world game it performs better than a linear shooter. (On consoles)
Crysis 2 has great graphics when the hardware can support it like on PC.
On consoles it was a pain to play and many games best it.

I agree it's not a flawless game, but is deserved of a higher score than 7 most definitely.
As for its linearity, that's a sign of the technology boundary, you are not going to get the same experiences as Uncharted from an open world game this gen (as far as the release of U2) It's just not possible on current consoles.

It's not about hating on MW3, it's about belittling those who choose to play it.
At the core of it all, is my desire to give Activision a lesson in humility. They have been 'top dog' in the fps world for far to long and with very little effort.....
