I won’t buy a new TV until I buy a next gen console. The prices will have dropped significantly by then.
I’d like a 4K 65” OLED or QLED TV with a 120Hz refresh rate.
I’m thinking those should be under $1K by the end of 2020.
The XB360 controller is still my all-time favorite across all gens and all systems - so I'm hoping for a return to its shape/dimensions for the NextBox.
IMO, Sony's controllers get better with every gen, so I'm sure it will be good.
Go Chiefs!!!!
(Sorry - couldn’t resist)
Does anyone else think the Jedi looks like Cameron Monaghan - the guy who played Jerome/Joker on Gotham?
Edit: It is him - here's the link:

Very true. I’m passing up on the PS Play deals because my backlog is huge.
Good read - the game served as a healthy distraction to be able to get through a tough time in his life.
And now he is married and has a great job - he is living life and games as a hobby. He didn’t allow gaming to become an addiction and take the place of living a real life.
I read a similar article about Zelda BOTW helping get a guy who was depressed and suicidal through a rough time.
Well played Sir!
Dude has lost all credibility.
These were fun and funny games - loved experimenting with causing chaos.
I think they should remaster both and release them together.
Mankind was not violent until video games were invented. Video games were to blame for: the guillotine, crucifixion, the Iron Maiden, draw and quartering, tar and feathering and stoning.
It’s a little known fact that Vlad the Impaler was an avid player of Unreal Tournament back in the day.
Yep, without those darn video games, we’d be a people free from any violent impulse or act!
(SARCASM!!!)
Sorry Todd. I don’t think you are qualified to talk about not screwing up from the starting line.
How about you release a game that isn’t a bug-filled rush job at launch - then we’ll talk.
Oh boy - here we go with the whose graphics will be better - long before the consoles actually come out.
How about for this gen, we wait for the systems to actually launch and look then at how multi-plat games perform.
So exhausting...
Phew! Amazon had the Handsome Collection for $14.99 - I almost bought it - glad I didn’t!
Color me stoked!
Based on the content of the review, I'd expect him to give the game a 7.
I think he has lost confidence in their ability to make a complete game that will create demand due to its quality - (ex. God of War), so they are going to release a small sample - with minimal investment on their part and see if there is demand for more - and only invest more if there is that corresponding demand.
Basically, he is trying to blame their release strategy - claiming the market has changed - rather than admitting that they made a sub-par game.
"Secret Sauce" is such consultant-speak. They use it to sell you that they have some proprietary process, knowledge or skill that you don't have - thus you need to contract for their services. Drives me nuts and makes me roll my eyes.
That said, I can't wait to see what the PS5 is all about - and the NextBox as well. I love it when a new generation comes about. Plugging that new console in and oohing and aahing over the graphics and the feel of the new...
It needs:
1. Must-play exclusives
2. Multi-plat games that perform at least on-par with the PS5 (resolution and FPS).
MS tried to be new and innovating this gen with the XBOne, while Sony focused on games with the PS4.
I think Sony knows what’s its doing with the PS5, and MS will return to what made the XB360 so successful -having learned their lesson this gen.
Thanks for the info. I guess when I’m ready to purchase, I’ll just have to do my homework to see what’s the best TV for what I want to spend.
