I'm pretty sure they will. The PS4 will most likely be PS3 full backward compatible, so a new Cell-based architecture is very likely. Sony bought back the Cell factory so I can definitely see them using the Cell again, if for nothing else to save them money from investing in some new technology. But, mostly, so the PS4 will play ALL PS3 games without issues.
Yeah, I agree. They've pretty much stomped that "It only does everything" into the ground. I don't see why people can't understand that. It is the ultimate gaming and multimedia machine. It does everything. (Except MKV codecs at the moment. lol)
Yeah, I just wish eventually they would go down to ZERO bubbles, so they'd be gone completely. lol
Cannot wait!! Twisted Metal has been a long-running franchise on PlayStation and I'm glad we get another game for the PS3.
The Vita is the new king of the hill of handhelds. That screen alone makes it the best one out. Then add a touchpad on the back, dual analog sticks, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and built-in SixAxis motion controls, and a myriad of other features, and you've got yourself the best handheld around.
Mario is still a good game, don't get me wrong, but man have they milked the holy hell out of this franchise. I mean, damn, how many Mario games have there been?
I'm sure this is a solid game, but again, why does Nintendo feel the need to make like 10+ Mario games per console?
I mean, I like God of War, but if they made 5 or so in one generation, I'd be pissed.
Sorcery is Move's best Move-only game so far. I hope to see more developers take advantage of the Move's capabilities like this game has.
Yep. That sucks too because the Oddworld series are great games. MS are too thick-headed to allow 360 gamers the right to play it. Of course, the Oddworld series has always been a game that people associate with PlayStation, but I feel that 360 folk should be able to play it too. Maybe MS will realize what they've done soon and allow it on XBL.
You can play all the PSP (digital) games on the Vita anyway. lol I say just save up a little more and get a Vita.
The thing is the 3G is not MEANT for downloading games. It's meant to have connectivity via PSN to your friends, check trophies, browse the web, etc. The best thing to do is just get the WiFi model and tether an unlimited phone to it, preferably 4G/LTE capable. Simple fix. The Vita is still going to be great. It's already got more support than the PSP had at launch.
@lorianguy
Yep, and I'm pretty sure Sony will come out with a 4G model a coup...
That was awesome. lol While I don't personally like Halo the game, I LOVE the theme song to Halo. It's cool as hell. I've always thought so.
Yeah, I agree. It doesn't matter where you sell the consoles. It simply matters that they're selling. And, in Sony's case, that they're probably going to overtake the competition pretty soon.
No company cares WHERE they sell their product, just that it sells.
Didn't they report that they sold 3.9 Million worldwide between November and December 2011? That's pretty impressive if you ask me. I could care less where they sold t...
lmao That gave me a chuckle. Bubble up for Funny.
This trailer really does draw some CoD-esque vibe.
I'm pretty sure the NextBox and PS4 will use existing tech, just with upped RAM and better GPUs. Backward compatibility will be fully functional on both. The PS4 will likely use the Cell again, so only the lazy devs that didn't take the time out to utilize it won't be able to transition as easy. Both should have full BC though.
Great news. I'll have mine when it comes State-side in February. Wifi model and a couple games and 16GB memory card. I really hope there will be third party memory cards eventually that are a bit cheaper.

You're just asking to get marked for trolling, aren't you? Do you get a rise out of it or something? It's getting really old.
Pretty cool. I'm not huge into video editing myself, but I've used the Eye Create and that other video editing program Sony came out with and they were decent. This looks to take it to a whole other level though.
While it would be cool for GTA V to be built for the next-gen systems, I doubt Rockstar will miss out on all that money to do that. The current systems have huge user-bases already. Now, what would be cool is if they were to come out with it with updated graphics and more content when the PS4 and Xbox 720 come out.
I recently wrote an article on what I thought the PS4 would be like:
http://dlb-network.com/2011...
In that article I explained how I thought the Vita was a sneak peek into the PS4's possible pricing and ease of development. The PS4 will hopefully be Cell-based again to capitalize on Sony's investment in the technology and to ensure full PS3-backward-compatibi...
I think Titanz is trying to say that this would compete with the Vita. He's stealth trolling. It wouldn't compete with the Vita, but it would compete with the Wii U since it also has a tablet controller. It could also somewhat compete with the iPad to an extent depending on what it does.
Sorry to burst your bubble. (No pun intended) The PS4 will NOT use a new standard of disc media. It will continue to use BluRay, albeit a much larger capacity somewhere in the range of 100GB+. They will increase the capacity to around 100GB and increase the read speed to around 8X or 16X.
And I think the controller is fine the way it is, minus a couple of things they could do like concave analog sticks and better triggers. But, size-wise, I don't have a problem ...
