Useful to catch up. Good find.
Looks interesting, I'll have a look.
The Karkand pack is part of the limited edition. The early unlock pack (physical warfare ?) is part of a pre-order deal.
But I don't think you'd be able to secure a limited edition without pre-ordering it.
My pre-load mail says the game will launch on the 26th.
In France.
Not sure about those, but apparently, grammar and orthography are optional.
:)
Publishers sound more and more like pimps.
All this stinks, and is the logical progression of EA's business conduct. They (among others) decided that the concept of captivity would be a good move. I'll break it down and will let you guess where things are headed from here.
Captive Product : A product is said captive when it is attached to another product. You can't have one without the other (either legally physically, or by programming), and the majority of customers would never use the attached produ...
Anyone know how to use this with a non US Apple account ?
I'm interested.
So, an annual fee on MP equals better players ? On a free for all beta ?
That is magic thinking, and it's bad for ya.
If the same arguments were applied to an extensive playtime with the retail version, on both platforms, with friends (not Rands or Blueberries*) I would pay attention.
The present article could've been written with shrooms, TBH.

Nice writing.
That's actually interesting !
This guy needs to be put on a morning show, between sports and weather.
The potential for non-gamers education is tremendous. Good find.

They don't even try anymore... Hits trapping used to be sly, pernicious and sometimes downright evil.
Lazy lazy lazy journalists. Trying to light a flamebait with wet matches and corn syrup.
The game was broken for me too, mainly on a technical basis. That said, this article is surprisingly interesting.
Food for thoughts.
It depends on who's talking to whom.
Gamers have no reason to be enthusiastic about this.
If a publisher's CEO reads this, he might be interesting, and like it in his Facebook account.
This article smells like propaganda, but I just might be paranoid.
And : "Activision believes player services like Call of Duty: Elite could keep franchises profitable for years to come."...
As a gamer, I don't want my franchises to be profitable down the line, I want them to stay FUN down the line. But then again, I might not be the exact target these "articles" are made for.
A pinch is a bit optimistic. A wheelbarrow for your salt seems more reasonable.
Misses the Benny Hill theme song.

I never bought any DLC full price. The most compromising I've been saw me buy the game on day 1, then buy it again with every DLC made for it a year later for the price of one DLC.
All in all, Borderlands in total cost me 65€ with 4 DLCs. I played it on day one (50€) and it gave me a reason to go back to the game this summer (15€, the game + all DLCs).
The same happened with Fallout 3 and will happen with New Vegas, Skyrim, etc. They can pump DLCs al...
Someone will end up with Mr T's Bling.
