Microsoft only won in the faces of some this year because they showed the most games at their show. For the whole 100 mins, it was game after game after game.
Unfortunately, they still lacked behind in exclusives. Halo, Gears, Forza and Battletoads aren't gonna be enough, i'm afraid.
It's why in my eyes the real winner when it comes to press conferences this year is Bethesda.
This is a release schedule for the fiscal year. Q4 means that it'll release between January and March 2019.
Like Battlefront II, it's too late for this game as well. This is something that should've been done at launch.
Also, the quote of “Simply being aware that they are available for purchase reduces the immersion in the world and takes away from the challenge of building your personal army and your fortresses,” is BS. They're only removing microtransactions due to the backlash against loot boxes right now from gamers.
I imagine it's a brand new title, given the fact they've used Link's Breath of the Wild costume in the teaser.
They are beyond redemption in my eyes. It's clear that EA's intentions are to follow the money by any means necessary, including releasing half-baked products, yamming down microtransactions in every game they make and closing studios with great potential.
So, they basically started making it as single-player DLC, but when Online became such a huge success, they were pressured to make it multiplayer instead?
Figures.
While I initially would say 'Yes', I want to believe that there's still potential for great 3D Sonic games.
Generations is an example. Forces dropped the ball, but Sonic Team can try and learn from their mistakes. Plus, the fandom treats 3D games unfairly.
True, but being a 2016 game, it shouldn't have been nominated for 2017's TGAs.
Far Cry 3 missed a shot, since it released around the same time period as FFXV, but back in 2012, and wasn't nominated for 2013's VGX.
NO. These lists need to be restricted to 2017 games only.
Speaking of lists, Final Fantasy XV (a game from 2016, might I add!) is nominated for Best RPG at TGAs while the other nominess are from 2017.
Probably due to how badly Mass Effect: Andromeda sucked.
Bethesda would be cool to go with. At least they don't screw over their fans (unless you count the Creation Club).
As for Deep Silver...... HELL NO. They've barely done anything good, unless you count the Metro series and Saints Row (to an extent).
No. Even if you do raise the price, EA will throw MTs in regardless.
How about this? Remove MTs outright and actually make a product that's worth the asking price of $60?
Same. Battlefront II looks amazing but it got ruined solely because of EA's corporate greed.
For those who don't want to be bothered looking at IGN's article, here's the list:
1. Jet Set Radio Future
2. Jade Empire
3. MechAssault
4. Burnout 3: Takedown
5. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
6. Red Dead Revolver
7. Breakdown
8. Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
9. Star Wars: Republic Commando
10. Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
Only a matter of time until Respawn bite the dust, like Visceral, Pandemic, BioWare Montreal and other devs EA shuttered over the years.
That's how EA works. They get their greedy hands on a studio and then a couple years later, then absorb all of it's essential staff and IP before throwing out the remains and leaving them to rot.
'Hard to dodge' is a really stupid way to address the issue, but that's publishers for you. They're circumventing this on purpose, because EA told them to.
Sorry, but I'm done with this game and EA in general. They've done some really awful things this year alone.
Not a chance.
If they're pushing the consoles to their limits again with GTA 6 like they did with 5, I doubt the Switch will be able to cope with the demands.
Microsoft doesn't own a bunch of those IPs, like Jade Empire, Pariah, Unreal or Panzer Dragoon. We also already have Amped 3, which was a launch title for the 360, so it's more like Amped 4 we would want.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Xbox is in dire need for a variety of exclusives. They need to look at the stuff they released on the OG Xbox and figure out how to revitalise them for modern audiences.
Halo, Gears and Forza make a lot of money, sure, but nobody's gonna support Xbox if that's all they make for it. What about games like MechAssault? Brute Force? Crimson Skies?
It's the same dev behind TDU.
Not all of them will hit that day.
I guarantee Metro Exodus and Crackdown 3 (again) will be delayed.
