footage does look good, but a game is about much more than that.

i tried desperately to like this game, it was just too bad
ended up burning it, taking a dump on it and mailing it to Silicon Knights
square-enix is a friggen mess.
last remnant was a sloppy game, head to toe. the unreal engine sucks compared to todays standards or proprietary engines.
and square-enix need to adapt a better business model where they develop for both platforms, not just on one because it's easier.
to each their own i guess

better luck next time with trophy support right up front. excellent game, and i love it, but this trophy support on ps3 games is such a pile of steaming.....
that seems to be the trend with some of these larger games, they take forever to develop and we are never given any real information or details.
I'm looking forward to ff13, but to be honest.. I'm not very excited about it with S-E's current performance, or lack there of.
Now, if they announced a ps3 exclusive Suikoden, done right... I'd be all over that. Skeet Skeet Skeet!
From the video.. the 360 version looks better, more color and more depth. Textures look better.
Anyway, I'm sure it will differ on different setups, hdmi or not, rgb full or not.
I'll be getting it for my 360 just to be on the safe side. That.. and I like my achievements much more than Trophies.
I didn't experience any of the major problems or quest related problems, but it's nice to have a patch and see that LionHead cares. :)

That's what one would think.. but this holiday weekend, the 360 outsold the ps3 3:1. Now... that may just be a simple number for many people, but once a console is in someone's home.. they buy software for it.
The more 360's out there, the more software that they will sell. So basically for each console they sell... they are securing at least a half dozen games or more per year for that console.
See the never ending cycle? If the ps3 has a price drop in say.. March a...
they are excellent games, dont get me wrong, but really.... to get all 80+ cars and billboards and jumps over again?
i've got like 10 other games to complete right now.
trophies dont appeal to me one bit.
i'm pumped for uncharted 2 though. that'll have trophy support right out of the box.
it's nice that sony is making it mandatory for developers to have trophy support starting january, and it's nice that they are now coming out with the key...

being a sony fan at heart (psx, psp, ps2, ps3), i've seen them go from gold to silver, and now silver to bronze.
i play my ps3 very rarely, as a matter of fact it's at my g/f's house now so she can enjoy lbp.
i had a lot of reservations about the 360, especially after the original xbox kinda sat on my shelf unplayed for months at a time in the past, but microsoft has put out a pretty good product and has some solid games.
overall, dollar for dollar, game...
Any game that is on both systems, I prefer buying on my 360.
Achievements have been here since day 1 and have never disappeared on me.
Don't get me wrong, I love my ps3, but I have almost no trophies for a reason, they are not supported or come out after I've already beaten a game.... (making the uncharted and burnout patch useless, do i really want to play through them all over again just for trophy's? no)
