and yeah, nowadays the water of UE3 looks a bit outdated. but back then, it was absolutely stunning and real"next gen" (eg bioshock). so you must be quite new to gaming.

well to be honest I don't really care. well I care for the game.
but as there will be some many good games this holiday, I for one probably would enjoy GTA V even more when it gets released in quieter times
most of the errors are connecting errors to the online servers. If you don't have to connect, you don't have the error. It's not that hard to understand.
people would never have thought that blizzard would not be able to make decent authentication servers after so many years with experience with world of warcraft.
yeah youre absolutely right. I've also replayed operation flashpoint recently and to be honest: it sucks.
It's mostly nostalgia. We were so innocent back then and gaming was so different back then due to our lack of experience :)
I for one like the game as it is now.
it depends on when you played it.
you know, back then in 2003 there was a release date valve just ignored without any further info and suddenly there came the leaked beta. and it was quite bad.
so everybody thought that everything valve has shown until then was fake or at least everything they had programmed.
after the beta disaster and seeing that valve had not really accomplished anything in five years of development expectations for hl2 were quite low.
and ...
a few months ago there were rumors that windows 8 is able to play 360 games. this could be another hint that these rumors could be true.
I hope we get at least a small glimspe at HL3/episode 3.
Still I think that half life 3 is in desperate need of next gen technology.
I would like to see valve integrating gameplay parts of portal into hl3 (practically both games play in the same universe). and for advanced open world portal/physics puzzles the game definitely needs better hardware.
I really doubt it as this chip probably would be quite costly. just look at how it made the first ps3 models expensive

probably rockstar didn't want to be there (or they just don't need to be there) but one of the big 3 defintely wants them to be on their conference.
so imho either sony, ms or nintendo "bought" them for their show.
just replaying ARMAII and it's quite a good game and ARMAIII hopefully will also be as good. still the ARMA series is not able to make me relive the good feelings the operation flashpoint games gave me :(
yeah I know this problem and because of it I stopped playing the console version of the game. battlefield 3 on pc is such a different experience and I can recommend it to anybody. Even if I have some performance problems on my pc it's still worth it.
next xbox with UE4 from the start for me pls
