absolutely this.
I play most games for the gameplay and not for the story.
sad to say but of the hundreds of games I played there were maybe 20 with a touching and deep story. hell, my favourite game series like unreal/quake/c&c/ghost recon have ridiculous stories and I would not want to miss them.

yeah how I miss splitscreen gaming.
damn and how I miss the botmatches many games had back then.
but those games still exist so I'll just take out my n64/ps2 and play some good old splitscreen

I am from Germany and also can't access it. Do only Germans and some Americans have those problems as said in the article?
Any other Countries affected?

I know text and title are jokes but I really do know many people who are frustrated by bf3 because they die so much. And I always tell them to be more cautious when playing and behave like someone who cares for his life. Most of those people like faster games and by his are used to run around like headless chicken. So many people don't want to understand this gameplay difference.
And this is not even a new development. Back then many quake/unreald tournament players hated counter...

I hope it's some kind of VR eyewear as I think googles project glass looks very promising!
For me VR eyewear is the next logical after todays sophisticated smartphones.
Such glasses combined with a gaming device would be superb (even if also a bit confusing :)

yeah sounds totally legit

Yeah the graphics look a bit outdated and the artstyle quite generic.
Still it could be something special due to the story (after the book "heart of darkness")and the fresh setting.
Let's just hope it rocks.

@ Stinky_Fish

It's not only about the number of hardware sales but also about how satisfied the consumers with their purchase are. And there are many people being very disappointed with the wii and those casuals will probably never buy a consle again :(

yeah this is happening to pc gaming since steam was released. why do people now go crazy?

"hell breaks loose" all the time when some people in the internet think they need to explain other people how to do their jobs (eg mass effect 3)

don't misunderstand me. I hate it how dice is not able to give us decent bugfixes or at least a release date for them. but as I love bf3 I think people should just clam down a bit and stop complaining.
the internet likes to rage all the time and soon developers will just ignore internet rage. look at the mw3/b...

E3 2012 only two and a half months away? didn't realise how soon it will be.
I just hope for some glimpse at sonys/ms' next gen plans

sry I wanted to agree but I did hit the wrong button :(
I also think that WWI would be quite a good setting for an AC game.

connor travelling around is actually quite a good idea! I also liked the idea of ezio leaving italy and going to constantinople. I always thought that in the assassins creed games the environments were more important than the main characters.

no sir, I don't really think so. just look at the brilliant samaritan demo and how far away from photorealism it is.
but maybe in 20 years or something we could have games "indistinguishable from reality"
