You can't just mute it. It will be listening constantly. I don't need more listening devices in my home.
It was a good game. I had a lot of fun with it. Even got the platinum trophy but it is very forgetable to me.

I'll take the controller apart and remove it. There is zero need for it. If I want a mic on PS5, I will connect a headset.

Not true. Everyone got a free mic with the PS4 as well. People just don't want to talk to strangers online other than a few weird people.
I play a lot of CoDMW lately and never talk to strangers and you know what I hear from people who do? Just anger, cursing, disgusting filty language. So, most of the time I just mute everyone.

On a serious note; I will probably take the controller apart and remove the microphone from it. There is no reason for it to be in there especially when sony themselves said that a gaming headset would be a better choice anyway so why include it in there other than to listen in on you?

I'm in love with the look to be honest. I would love it even more if the Playstation logo was in color like the original logo was. That is true playstation to me. Also the X,O,Triangle and Square should be their respective colors too. But other than that, it's an amazing, futuristic looking controller.
It reminds me of the Normandy from Mass Effect.
