I think it may actually be the future of handheld gaming. Mobile gaming is pretty much in its infancy but it'll grow and evolve until it has 'hardcore' games on it.
It's not the be all end all future of gaming thats for sure. Sometimes I'm out and I'll game on my phone or on a handheld. When I'm home sitting on the couch however I'm using my pc or ps3. Mobile definitely won't kill consoles or anything silly that media sites keep yammering o...
I think they could make a new game thats just as good ore better, except there's one thing standing in the way. Squareenix is placing more value and development resources on making pretty graphics than they are on making a top notch story. It's they two together that make a great game but they as with many other devs this gen have lost their way amongst the shiny glitter and sparkles world of hd graphics.
Sh don't say that hear you'll get flamed and down bubbled. Most everyone on this site is blind to proper business practices and only consider what they 'want'.
From a business perspective it's not likely unless the ps4 uses very similar cpu architecture to the ps3. They spent what like six or seven years developing the GT 5 game engine. To start fresh on a new console would waste a lot of the money spent on that.
What will most likely happen is gran turismo six will be part of the closing batch of ps3 games.
I'd like to believe this but EA and innovation don't usually go hand in hand. I find they're usually more synonymous with plagiarism. Every time they say their innovating they copying stuff found in some other well selling game. Not that borrowing ideas is bad if it's an improvement but... EA.
Yeah they should bring back bots, just like they should bring back local multiplayer with it. Thing is not having local multiplayer encourages more people to buy the games. Albeit relatively passively, by not allowing you to play with your friends if you don't own said game. Whereas local multiplayers will go to the house of whoever has the game and all play one copy.
Though thats just my take on the whole thing. I think bots and local mp are pretty tied together, after a...
It's at best startling sometimes.
My problem with the series is that the music breaks most of the tension by telegraphing when enemies will appear.
Also am waiting for the white version. The piano black stuff sony puts out are nice but the sparkly white casings they use are some of the best white products I've seen.
Also it's funny how colours trend in and out for electronics. Though the producers of said products are often behind the times unless their setting the trend. I'm pretty sure apple kicked off this latest white trend in electronics.
I could provide a list of most successful products that would disagree with you but I'd just be called a troll. Lets just say the most successful things in the world aren't the best their the simplest.
aren't they still owned by microsoft?
And as for them being gods of game development. I'm pretty sure the most brilliant people that were responsible for the great games abandoned ship years ago.
After all companies don't make the games awesome it's the creative people that lead the team that do that. A company name is just a company name.
It's because they know the vast majority of computer users won't understand that there's anything but the metro ui and the marketplace. Many casual computer users will just go with whatever is easiest and that will be the windows marketplace.
Like my last blog, this has also been translated from Norwegian to English with Google Translate. So sorry for any grammar fails, fixing it soon!
In February, the sequel to Crysis 2, the third game in one of my favorite franchises. I just wish it could have pleased me more.
So far what I've read, seen and heard about Crysis 3 is very disappointing. Crytek boss Cevat Yerli promises that Crysis 3 will be the spiritual sequel to the first game, the game I ha...
They're always looking for attention. The news is rarely relevant world news and mostly over hyped minor shenanigans.
I guess you don't know how patches work. Lets take for example the most played game on planet earth. World of warcraft;
When the game started out it did not have a great deal of the content it has today. The graphics, classes, story lines, areas, items, sounds, everything has been updated.
Modern warfare 2, and one to be honest could have been patched all the way to where blops has gone today. Well the multiplayer parts in any case. Since they wouldn'...
Define radically different?
From the trailers I've seen for it the game looks pretty rough. Re used textures for various broken objects and environments. Granted the trailers were pretty early versions but at this point all they really have to do is change textures and build maps.
Sequels should only be for single player aspects, or for multiplayer games when the changes could not be supported in patches.
They could easily release a pay to play cod multiplayer only and just patch in all the changes they want to make. Then sell the single player part on the side.
Eh whatever I'll just stick with windows 7 until steam can push linux into having proper game support.
His big problem if you read the article is microsoft is closing windows 8 to unsigned programs.
That means pretty much no unsigned exe.s or .bats of any kind essentially. No custom drivers, no emulators, no game mods or unofficial patches that install themselves. No anything unless it passes through microsofts certification and is downloaded through their marketplace.
I know from a tech sense the end of this generation is needed desperately, but from a purely business oriented way of looking. This gen is just about to get going for sony.
If you look at the ps2's life cycle, and the 360's life cycle, and well pretty much every successful console life cycle of the past two decades. The bulk of all console sales happen when it falls below $200. The ps3 isn't quite there yet, the xbox is kinda there with it's arcade. Thats wher...
I don't know why everyone is so blown away by this thing. They had ar helmets in the mid 90's, I remember using one to play rise of the triad at the pne. Also sony put out something very similar last year. The only nominal thing about this device is the vertical fov. Even with that it's fairly low resolution can't be that great.
I know many will disagree with me, but I would prefer you to try to convince me of your opinion. I'm not against this thing I jus...
