Can they pass the 360 this year? I think it's possible if the 360 is approaching market saturation, but it's not a certainty. I would guess that it will in 2011 if not in 2010 though.
The Wii is more of a question mark - where will their saturation point be? It's hard to say.
An article written about N4G so it could be posted on N4G so the author could get clicks from N4G.
Yeah, I noticed, and was amused by this phenomenon as well, but I didn't feel the need to blog about it. The embargo lifted on a major game release when many publications already had their review in the can - pretty amazing stuff.
Why did people wait until they beta was open to download? I downloaded this stuff last week.
IMO they should be free promotional items.
That guy playing the drums looks pretty awesome.
Wait, putting roll cages in cars that you race isn't realistic? I think they've got that backwards.
Not saying you can't get the Veyron to lose grip with the ESP turned off, but I'm not so sure I buy it drifting like they Turn 10 showed in this video. It looks like a RWD card in that video - which it is not.
Fable II failed to hold my attention for more than four hours - so I think it's safe to say the list of things they didn't get right extends far beyond the "drama".
Maybe start with fun/enjoyable gameplay and work out from there.
I find the notion of head-tracking a bit confusing. I mean, let's say I want to look left, so I do. I am no longer facing the television, and I crash. Am I supposed to turn my head one way and my eyes the opposite simultaneously? That seems unnatural enough that I wouldn't want to make use of it.
Who knows, maybe it'll be awesome. Or maybe no one will care because the game is so epic regardless ;)
I don't know that one could call this confirmed, but some think that they mean 170 of the cars have modeled interiors so you can use the in-car view.
I really, really hope you have to pay for repairs - it will completely transform the game into a true simulation.
I still feel like even quality expansions like those for Oblivion, Fallout, or GTA4 are still really pricey when compared to the initial release.
When they add 4 more hours of gameplay to a 100+ hour game and charge a third of what the game cost in the first place something doesn't quite add up for me.
I suppose it's a way to offset the rising costs of game development, but I'd rather see developers putting the effort into their next game.
Games like R...
To answer your question: Yes. It's one of the best games this generation.
I feel the same way about PoP. I don't think it's a problem to have the same voice actor, but in PoP it seemed like they told him to "do the Drake" voice or something - it's like Nathan Drake is playing the Prince of Persia and that's a little distracting - puts me off.
Pretty highbrow stuff for N4G. I agree - I don't think you can take the art out of games. They are inextricably linked for better or worse and I think that is something that should be embraced by both sides.
Wow. Thanks for going to all that effort to prove my point. And in such a "mature and respectful manner". Gotta love the Gamer Zone for intelligent debate.
More hard hitting journalism from the people who have been breaking the "Vagina Hero" story every day for as long as anyone can recall!
Could you clarify a few points for me?
Please define "countless" and "forced".
Countless like the stars in the sky? Forced like at gunpoint?
Do N4G moderators ban your site if you don't make your original video content embed-able?
Do you have any actual evidence of what is alleged here actually going on?
Do you really think you know the goings on of N4G better than I do?
This is 100% spurious bull-crap.
No one can force anyone to make their content embed-able. Not HHG, not G4TV, not even a YouTube user can be forced by N4G to make their content available for embed.
The simple fact is that the overwhelming majority of N4G users prefer for videos to be embedded where possible. It's a simple as that. No conspiracy here - sorry.
We asked Brian Allegier about this at PAX.
ACIT will conclude the story arc that began in ToD, and while they haven't, obviously, announced another Ratchet game they also haven't said anything about this one being the last.
Brian said something about "I'm sure we'll revisit Ratchet" - frankly, if Insomniac stops making Ratchet games they will have to come out with more new IP or they'll have a lot of idle hands. I doubt they'd put all the effort into the t...
