Mass Effect 3 Review * Brutal Gamer *

Brutal Gamer's Robbie writes:

Mass Effect 3 is a game that has been dogged by controversy from the outset. The culmination of around 8 years of hard work and dedication finally came out early last month and it’s time we talked about it, random internet user. The game is good. There, I’ve said it. It’s very good, but it’s far from the best in the series. Mass Effect 2 is in my view the best Mass Effect game. Mass Effect had a great idea but never quite managed to get around its self-imposed restrictions and awkward mix of RPG and TPS. Mass Effect 2 improved greatly on the first game but with it brought some niggling bugs and annoyances. Mass Effect 3 has improved again but overall it’s lacking a certain je nais c’est quois that made ME2 so great. The story is probably the biggest sticking point, with consumers waiting six years for ‘the greatest feat of closure yet attempted’ it was always going to be disappointing to some people.

i knew it was just a matter of time b4 a more truthful review of ME3 came out, 8.0 or even 8.5 is more fair & believeable than all those 9`s & 9.5`s that have been handed out. Its also no suprise to me that it took this long for a truthful review to finally show up ,after months of hyperbole, on the internet about this game. Im also not surprised that diehard fans (not casual) of ME are upset & tormented mentally by its flaws, as ive always said, it was by design & NOT a coincidence, ANGER & FRUSTRATION produce strong emotions, its mental toture(trauma based mind control), but thats exactly what these Corporations like EA are after, not your $$, but your soul....I didnt buy the game, I didnt play the demo, I saw the writing on the wall, & thus was not surprised 1 bit by gamers feeling BETRAYED again by the system(gaming conglomerates & corporate paymasters). It is what it is & this type of thing has & will continue to happen in the creation of games presently & future, by design, mark it down. Controversy sells & so here comes the DLC for a better ending, that turns a $60 game into a $150 dollar purchase. lol coincedence? lol, to the mentally walking dead(zombies/sheeple) only. I know the truth hurts, but its also liberating as well.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman167d ago

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
