RANT: Dear Developers, Y U No Make Pause Button?

It's the one reason I can't play Demon/Dark souls, even though I love playing them. I have children and I need a pause button!!!!

I didn't play DarkSouls. I played DemonSouls. I didn't buy DarkSouls when I found out it aswell had no pause button. Bonfires won't cut it, I need an insta-pause. Kids get it to things quickly....

Which you have to get to via gameplay.

That's anywhere from minutes to even hours looking for a spot vs needing to stop because your kids about to break something. Maybe themselves.

DO NOT just press the Playstation Button. That just takes you to the xmb with the game running in the background.

i clicked disagree because you can always go to the nexus or campfire if you want to "pause."

I just want a CLEAN pause. Now all START does is bring up messy menus. Keep that shit on the BACK/SELECT button!

So what if it bring up an alt menu. At the end of the day, it pausing the game. Just press start or the O button and you should be back in the game. People always make a big deal out of nothing.

This is the main thing that annoyed me with Phantasy Star SP, you'd be in the middle of a battle then some A Hole would ring my phone :D now MP is understandable, but SP..... FFS I need a pause button :)

Whats worse about these games not having a pause feature
is when you really gotta go to the bathroom !

The thing that bothers me is in RPGs when you press start but the game timer keeps ticking on. It then isn't an accurate representation of how long you have played. ME does this as did Kingdoms of Amalur.

dear author, Y U no realize that the START button pauses the game and most do allow you to pause by pressing that button?

I say the same about MGS3 on the HD collection. That game has A LOT of cut scenes. None of which were pauseable on my end :/ Not even opening the guide stops it.

All games should allow you to pause during cutscenes, without exception. Sometimes it can be a real pain in the ass if you don't know if you can or not and it turns out that start actually skips the scene and you've missed something integral to the story.
