The PS Vita has already had a soft launch in the US, and if you intend to pick up the system in the next week, it’s possible you never had owned a Sony portable before. And some PSP owners might have forgotten they owned the system, and missed some of the better games it had to offer. The Vita offers all those people a second chance.
The must play PSP Games every gamer will enjoy.
Kratos has been on a rampage, killing Gods in epic battles since 2005. With each release managing to offer high-octane action, I explore each God of War title and rank every adventure from his journey to Olympus to his Norse tales of fatherhood.
I won’t rank Ragnarok just yet, although it is honestly leaving me and my wife blown away…won’t go into details right now, not done as I assume others aren’t either, maybe some of you are, idk haha.
But here’s how I rank them
5. God of War 3
4. God of War Ascension.
3. God of War 1.
2. God of War 2.
1. God of War 2018.
1. God of war 3
2. God of war 2018
3. God of war 2
4. God of war 1
Haven't played the others but about 30 hrs In to ragnarock now so safe to say if it keeps up it will end up being at the top of my list when I'm done.
I will say the pacing of the original titles and the epic feel to them I feel is way better than the new one’s. Like, I could recognize and appreciate the praise God of War received, but it bores me to tears except for the pivotal moments.
However, that being said I feel Ragnarok is waaaaay better than 2018. I’m only on Ch. 6, but it’s pretty much rocked my face off from the get-go.
I’m really split between this being my GotY or Elden Ring.
I think different games in the series had different strengths but all are great. I liked the original as it was an origin story and the mechanics were fresh. The sequel added smoother gameplay. Three was just so far ahead of it's time graphically it wasn't even funny. Plus great gameplay and bosses and insane gore and nice use of sexy time. The reboot was cool but lost a lot of what I liked about the original trilogy (I don't need my games grown up, just fun). Will wait and see with ragnarok as haven't had time to play it yet.
It feels like the PlayStation Portable doesn't get the love that it deserves, so here are the best PSP games if you're picking one up for the first time.
some really good games on that list. some of my favorites (not on the list) are Metal Slug XX, ultimate Ghosts & Goblins, Gradius Collection, Motorstorm Arctic Edge and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters.
I get that The Warriors is technically a PS2 game ported over, but damn it's amazing on the PSP
Few of my favs Off the top. Midnight club 3,GTA Stories liberty/Vice,god of war and locoRoco
I would also recommend mgs portable ops and peace walker, both syphon filter games, and monster hunter freedom unite along with many games on this list. Especially since these games will benefit from dual analog sticks, jrpgs won't.
Wish we could get Crisis Core and Birth by Sleep... But nooooo, Square have to be asses about it and not release them digitally. Those are only two of the best games in the PSP library, not being able to download them is a shame.
On a side note, if they ever DO release Crisis Core on the PSN, it better have a price tag close to its 10 buck retail version, if they try and charge like 30 bucks, I'm going to be pissed.
umm were is GTA vice city stories, liberty city stories and chinatown wars ? these are the psp games you shoould play on your ps vita.
I dont no if these games are on the Store.
Daxter
Clank
Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier
Ratchet & Clank Size Matters
N+
Resistance
Loco Roco
Both GTA Stories+ Chinatown Wars
Killzone Liberation (WANT a new one)
There are more.
And much as the case was (and to a large degree still is) with the 3DS, it appears the Vita will rely far more on the software of its predecessor than itself.
...And the PS3 was the same way.
Honestly, I think they'd have an easier time making a dent in the market if they held back release a few months to build up a solid volume of new titles. After all, how many potential Vita customers out there don't already own a PSP?
